I have Gens, which I use for Sega CD games as my actual Sega CD unit is a pain in the ass. It'll only turn on successfully one out of every ten times

I use No$GBA to play DS ROMS.  It requires some fiddling, but once you get it to work it is awesome.

i almost never use emulators on my PC, but I have one for every major 2D console on my PSP. You just can't beat those classic games right in the palm of your hand. More often than not I'll use emulators for games that I own because then I can use it in a portable form on my PSP, but then go home, transfer the ROM and save file onto my PC, and continue playing on a full-sized screen using an Xbox 360 controller.

For little while I was using Project64 to play N64 games on my PC with a 360 controller too. Even though I actually owned all the games I was playing, it was worth it because you can play in any resolution. Such deliciously crisp 64-bit polygons : )

I doubt he meant on his 360, just on his PC with is 360 controller.  Wired controllers plug in via USB port...they have programs that let you use your 360 controller on you PC like PInnacle Game Profiler

If you have Windows there's no special software needed, just plug and play

Are we free to discuss emulators and such on the website? It hasn't been specified yet.

Since there is quite a large degree of illegality to it ( Not to be a goody two shoes or anything but I was just wondering )

I would think emu. talk if allowed should be in its own forum, some people might not own the consoles and we could be aiding them in getting roms.
but then again we don't even know if its allowed, I am sure someone will get to it.

In my Ubuntu repositories there are emulators for DS, SNES, N64, and PS1 available.  Haven't tried them yet though
