My old xbox broke down again (this is the fourth time) and since I bought it used, I got another used machine. The problem is that when I try to go on to xbox live it says that "the family settings prevents you from signing on to xbox live" and since I don´t know the password I can´t change it. Is there some way to override this?
Family settings on xbox!

Yeah, but its all the same to the guy on the other end of the phone, you cant remember your code just like everyone else. Im assuming theyll just ask for a serial number or something. I cant think of what else they would want.
Edit: And all of the shops around here would accept that machine back for an exchange no questions asked. The big retailers offer a 12 month warranty on pre-owned goods.
"Where did you buy a used console and why wouldn't they have removed the account or told you the password when you bought it?"I bought it at Gamestop ( called EB-games over here in Sweden) and I don´t think they know the password, only the previous owner does...which is frustrating as hell...

"brukaoru said:Well that is ridiculous. It should have been their responsibility to get the password from the previous owner before they sold it to anyone. Another -1 for GameStop!"Where did you buy a used console and why wouldn't they have removed the account or told you the password when you bought it?"I bought it at Gamestop ( called EB-games over here in Sweden) and I don´t think they know the password, only the previous owner does...which is frustrating as hell..."
it´s just really annoying cause, yesterday I went to replace the broken xbox, and they gave me another broken xbox, which I didn´t notice until I got home and they had already closed :P so, -2 for GameStop!
