Fantasy Football, Giant Bomb League

It's going to be on ESPN.com. Multiple leagues of 12. Standard roster, only scoring edit is that only D/ST will be awarded for returns rather than individual players to prevent stacking of points.

So here's how we'll do it. I'll get two leagues of 12 going first. Both same format as stated in edited OP. Difference of draft time. League #1 will draft on Monday Sept 2nd 6pst/9est League #2 will draft on Tuesday August 27 at 1700 PST. PM ME WITH YOUR LEAGUE PREFERENCE & EMAIL and I'll Email you an invite to the league . If neither times work, let me know why and what does work and I'll see what changes I can make! First 12 of each preference get into the leagues requested and for everyone else that doesn't get into the first two we'll make a super deep league where up to maximum people get in (20)! Gonna be crazayyy! And I'll figure out a draft time for the super deep league at a later date.

Update(2): League 1's new draft time is Monday Sept 2nd at 6pst/9est. 2 spots open for now. League 2 is officially full and closed.

Now, I'm an expert in sport; so, I can only conclude that everyone is talking about stat-tracking Giant Bomb and betting on who will be in what videos, how many deaths they'll have, how many jokes they'll tell, how many times Jeff will interrupt Brad, etc.

I have never played? Is it hard to learn how to play? I understand how football is played, what at least some of the postilion do, and understand stats....but will I be lost if I have never played?

I'd be interested. I got into a Fantasy Baseball league for the first time this year and am somehow holding 2nd place down pretty strong.. and lord knows I know a hell of a lot more about Football than I do Baseball.

The biggest league I have ever played in has been 12 guys, the smallest was 6. The bigger league was way more fun and it seems like with the potential turn out so far this get pushed to a crazy large number of teams, but everything at Giant Bomb is crazy and over the top, so why shouldn't the fantasy football league be too! Getting so excited for this!

Looks like it's almost definitely filled up, unless it's been expanded to multiple leagues. If there is room, I'd love to do so. I've been in leagues from 4 to 20 people, standard to every position (offense and defense), snake, auction, etc. So yeah, I'm down for any kind. It'd be awesome to be in a league with people who share interests outside of sports. Though if I had a preference, it'd be non-auction. But I'm cool any way.

I don't want to step on the op's toes, but given the amount of people that replied to this thread, if 9 people message me I'd be happy to start up a standard 10-team league for anyone that's new (or not) to the fantasy football experience.

Not at all. Just draft players with good stats and you're good. It's more fun the first year when you just draft players you like.

So it looks like we potentially have 29 people playing now. A 30 team league would be insane amounts of fun.

Max ESPN would allow is 20! But I got those two 12 team leagues going and whoever is left we'll do a big ol 20er and see how it goes! haha

Update: League 1 only has 6 players so far so the draft has been delayed. It's my fault for setting up the draft too early so I apologize. We're currently in the process of figuring out a new draft time through poll and discussion on the League website. League 2 is now full with a couple of unjoined members. If you prefer league 2, let me know and I'll put you on a wait list. If said members don't join within 24 hours of the draft I'll invite you to league 2 (and delete you from the other league if you became a part of it).

Thanks for the update Ivan. I was ready...but I have to admit I was going to be drafting blind.

Since notifications don't seem to be working, you might need to PM anyone who didn't contact you off the original list a couple posts back.

@veektarius: Thanks for the heads up about notifications. I was wondering why I didn't get notification on your guys' comments when I "watched" this topic. Will PM those guys.
