favorite is fighting games. least favorite i'd probably have to say FPS, though i do enjoy one once in a while, they just dont really get me hooked as often
It used to be strategy (RTS, TBS, city-building)by a mile, but right now I don't think I have a favorite genre. My least favorite is probably fighting games, because I suck at them and I don't have the patience (or the skill) to become at least decent.
@face15: Well Open World. Really anything like GTA or Red Dead, i cant stand... Although if it's and FPS open world like Borderlands I'm cool with that.
@ZacBoon: I just...i cant...why would you...you sir are trolling,i am sure of it....how can you not like open world games? the freedom,the choices,the ability to overpower your character if you wanted to....i just dont get you -.-
@TheDudeOfGaming: I dunno man it's just something bout them. Give me Borderlands or WoW and I'll play them all day. But give me Red Dead or GTA i won't take it for 10 minutes.
My favorite is RPGs. I don't have a least favorite genre, though. There are plenty of genres I'm not interested in--puzzle games, for instance--but I don't dislike anything about them.
Favorite - Western RPGs and Open World RPGs (Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect, Witcher). Least Favorite - Music / Rhythm. And JRPGs - I can't stand them.
Favourite genre's easily RPGs! I enjoy the investment and amount of hours you can sink into a good one. I'm starting to loathe sports games (although I love FM), which is strange because I don't mind watching them. I guess they don't offer anything interesting in the way of gameplay.
Because I'm in college and don't really have the money to go out and buy many games: Favorite: Rhythm Least: Sports
If I wasn't in college, Rhythm would still be way up there, but favorite would probably lean a little more towards Action/Adventure, RPGs, or Platformers.
Favorite: RPG (including JRPGs and MMOs) ~ I enjoy exploration and chatting it up with virtual characters.
Least favorite: Rhythm ~ I have no rhythm and I don't like memorizing series of button presses. That's also why I suck at Fighting games even though I like them.
I never realized how much I loved platformers until I put together a top X games of all time list a few years ago, and so many of my top games were platformers. And I don't actively dislike any genre, but I'm not particularly into the majority of fighting games. I love me some MK, but most other stuff like Street Fighter really doesn't interest me.
Favorite: RPGs/Open World Tough to choose between the two, because a quality experience in either genre gives me the same thrill.
Least favorite: RTS and Fighting Games While it would technically be sports, I don't think that's fair. Sports games are their own separate section of gaming in my eyes. I went with those 2 genres since I actually enjoy them but never put in the required time to actually get the most out of them (which is really just a nicer way to say I suck).
