Favorite games of 2011-2017

Just curious about what people have enjoyed.

My most recent favorite game came out in 2010, and since then I have been waiting for something that really grabs me and holds up over time.

I'm sure you guys have played some games post 2010 that you think are worth playing.

2011- Batman: Arkham City

2012- Far Cry 3

2013- Grand Theft Auto V

2014- South Park: The Stick of Truth

2015- Bloodborne

2016- Hitman

2017- Horizon: Zero Dawn or Life is Strange: Before the Storm

A while ago, there was a thread asking for your top 10 favorite games. I made this image in response.

My favorites are usually the more recent games, and I think every game here besides Phoenix Wright 2, Punch-Out! Wii and Persona 4 are more recent than 2010. In place of the three of them, maybe I'd put Persona 5, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Saints Row the Third. Considering you can't get a game of Skullgirls going online anymore, maybe I'd replace that with Just Cause 2 or something instead.

I don't think this will be useful in helping you find games you'd enjoy, though. Everyone's tastes are different.

Oh god, there are far, far too many to name so I'll just name a few of my super-favorites:

Gravity Rush and Gravity Rush 2 immediately come to mind and, the more thought I give it, the more likely they're probably at the top of that list. Few games make me so...happy. I can't quite put it into words. Sure, they're fun to play and all that, but I just feel good when playing them.

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir is hands down the best remake I have ever played. The original was already a fantastic game, but they put some work into this and turned in a masterpiece. Others try, but no one does 2D quite like Vanilliaware. Their games are a feast for the eyes and this game is no exception. It might even be their best if I'm being perfectly honest

DOOM, Path of Exile, Titanfall, Last of Us, Wolfenstein the New Order off the top of my head.

DOOM and Path of Exile are top 10 of all time material. DOOM is a fantastic (singleplayer) shooter, probably the best singleplayer experience. Path of Exile just keeps on being a great Diablo game and free to play.

Dark Souls is probably the only 2011+ game that I got really, really into. Like, super hard.
