None of those. I like the magnum-type, the powerful gun with low ammo where you have to make every shot count. It suits my playstyle of conservative shooting well.
Favorite Weapon type in a First Person Shooter
I went for "That long range weapon with the zoom - since you're just one of those people", but that's not quite what I do. I'll go for an accurate rifle. I prefer precision in each of my shots over emptying a mag and barely hitting anything. I also prefer to kill my enemies while they are as far from me as possible. I am however crappy with sniper rifles and moving targets, so I'll stick to normal rifles rather than forced-scope stuff.
I very, VERY rarely play FPS, but when I do, I always like to use the Light Machine Gun. They always sound satisfying to me. Funnily enough, I hate Assault Rifles.
My vote is for the pistol, though ideally I'd like a silenced weapon. I just love the way silenced weapons sound in video games (no matter how unrealistic).
So, a silenced pistol for me is the ultimate.
I use what's appropriate for the situation, but if given the opportunity to choose my role in a battle, I generally prefer accurate, mid-to-long-range weapons: single-shot or burst-fire weapons with some kind of mid-range scope, typically. A full-auto assault rifle is an acceptable stand-in as long as its accurate and the rate of fire is easily controlled by pulsing the trigger.

Marksman/Battle Rifle. Not a huge fan of either your "short, controlled bursts" type assault rifle, or big, clunky "one shot, one kill" sniper rifles, so I go for the middle ground. Scoped and usually firing single shots or three round bursts, I aim to stay accurate at longer ranges than fully automatic weapons, but still get to be an active, mobile presence on the battle field.
This is pretty much exactly what I like in shooters.
Shotguns. There hasn't been any really amazing shotguns lately though. I do enjoy Resistance 3's shotgun. Rage should have a good shotgun, just because it's an id game.
There are two ways I really like to play FPSes. One is sneaking around with a pistol, meleeing guys and getting silent kills. But, since games that let you actually do that are few, I'd say I love sniping. It can be frustrating at times, especially with slower rifles, but nothing is more satisfying than pulling off a headshot.
Usually the simple and reliable auto-gun. I remember loving the submachine gun in Frontlines: Fuel of War (even with that game being as fucked as it was) because it was broken in the way that it had perfect accuracy. By which I mean it would fire in a straight line no matter what. The long range kills you could get were INSANE.
Well I guess since we're going purely off classic arcade-y FPS standards then it would have to be the shotgun equivalent. If realism at all is in play then it's the automatic assault rifle thingy. Though if there's some sort of mid-range scoped semiautomatic rifle then I'm all over that.
