Just thought I'd give this game a shoutout. It's a mobile game, like most Final Fantasies these days. I downloaded it last night, but it made a very strong first impression. In concept, it seems very similar to FF Realm Keeper in that you play as a set character accompanied by main characters from past games, except that it has an actual story and dialogue and not just some goofy excuse to go through old FF games. In addition it has a pretty high quality soundtrack and some very well-animated and detailed sprites of said characters that are cool enough for me to actually seek out characters just to see their renditions. 
Totally free with plenty of hooks to get you to put some money in as you would expect
