Finally finished Gears Of War 2 on Insane mode

I personally believe that Gears of War 2 is one of the best games ever and that is why I decided to appreciate this well done  game by unlocking all the achievements . the achievements in this game are tougher than the first Gears but I personally love challenge nevertheless  .

Speak of challenge ; I have finally managed to finish Gears of War 2 on Insane mode . I admit that it was really challenging and even frustrating at some points but all and all it was a memorable experience . actually playing this game on insane mode is the most thrilling experience I have ever had this year . taking cover , shooting a round and taking cover again , knowing that you will die with 3 bullets no matter what !!!!!!!!!!  you ‘d LOVE your safe position and reliable cover even more .

these are all awesome moments that could only be achieved on insane mode .

How do we know that it is the best game ever? It probably won't be, but none of us probably know because we haven't played it. It sounds like from the way you are speaking about it that it will be great, but it won't be the greatest game ever.

I'm being so negative because November 7th isn't here yet.

Gears 2 does look pretty awesome. I can't wait to play it.

Honestly, I don't even think it is that. In my opinion, yes, Gears of War 2 will be great (and possibly Game of the Year), but you have to take into consideration what you are really saying. You are saying Gears of War 2 is better than any game before it. This means games such as OoT and Diablo II (just to name a few), and many more, are "inferior" (when it came to overall quality).

While it is OK to say you think it is the best game you have ever played, I think you just accidentally typed in "we already know...", because first off -- we don't. I consider Gears of War 2 to be "1.5" in a sense, it isn't a huge visual difference, and the gameplay/combat has not changed in an extremely noticeable way. I'm not some ignorant fanboy or Gears of War hater -- because I loved the original one. I had played it for nearly a year straight without another game taking up my time -- it was a great game. I think Gears of War 2 will be even better, but in my opinion, it won't be the best of all time.

Um...the fact stands that even if the game is absolutely awesome and the turns out to be generally the most highest rated and praised game this year, it will be far from 'one of the best games ever'. You may 'think' in your own opinion, which is completely fine, that it is, but even if it exceeds anyones expectations, it won't ever be 'one of the best games ever'. I generally think the game looks pretty good, I went from no interest what so ever earlier in the year to "i'm definitely giving this a gamefly and probably will have it for a long time" so its changed me already there, but the gears of war franchise in general, could never stand up and be called 'one of the best ever', it really can't.

I hope so. I found the repetition a bit much. I'm sure it would have been alleviated if I had played co-op with someone, but I didn't.

I agree about Master chief being not so cool , but Marcus is not emotionless . he chose his father over his duty back in E-day . he saved lives of so many soldiers , and at the final cut-scene of Gears of War 2

This obviously is not the best game ever, since there is no such thing. I do believe it is great, although I only played the first one and simply didn't like it (too repetitive, and not my type of gameplay), BUT I have to admit they are great games, specially when it comes to art direction, just not my cup of tea. But it is also far from being the game of the year or something like that, because from what I've seen and heard, it is the same formula as the first one, which means it has already been done.
Anyway nice to see you had so much fun with it, after all, that is what games are made for ! :D

That was such a cheap, underdeveloped character point.  I can only shake my head.  We already went through the "hard-boiled protagonist loves shapeless voice in head" thing with the Master Chief and Cortana, and we all know well that was fleshed out."

How did u guys beat Act 1, "Destuction" on insane mode.. Im at the part where i'm using the Turret to shoot down the Mortars and Kill the flying reaver... For some reason im stuck at this part.. Any suggestions?
