Fred Durst now streaming on Twitch

I have no idea what the backstory is here but Fred Durst has his own twitch channel and is currently rocking out on some Call of Duty: Ghosts (which btw, is like waaaay too perfect a choice). Maybe the backstory is just dude really wants to stream some games, I dunno.

I mean, what more I can add. It's kind of a mess, he took a business call earlier mid-sesh and attempted to play a new Limp Bizkit track on the stream but it just ended up sounding like it was playing 3 miles away.

No idea.

Well, he did do an advertisement for Sega's online service back in the Dreamcast days, so I'm not surprised he's still big into games.

After two minutes, I had to go out for important business (picked up a candy from the gas station).

I do hope the remainder of the stream continued to be as thrilling as those two minutes.

TNA Wrestler (and at one time legit badass) Samoa Joe started up a twitch channel too recently. Celebrities on Twitch is something we are going to have to get used too.

Fred Durst gets a bad rap. He seems fairly pleasant and level-headed.

Everything I know about him outside of his music makes him seem like he's probably a totally alright and standard dude. However that doesn't change the fact that this stream has been weird. Both in content and in it's very nature.

I really hope he does bring The Undertaker on stream with him.

Yeah, the very nature of this stream makes my ass raw. If his stream keeps going this way I might break something tonight.

I hope he realizes that 1000 of the people watching him come from Northernlion... this is so weird.

I dunno he needs to be more animated when he streams, that whole performance was a little too chill, limp even.

I was way into Limp Bizkit in high school. It wasn't really for Fred Durst (although his vocals, at the time, were interesting to a teenager version of me) but Wes was what made that band interesting realistically. Limp Bizkit was over when Wes left. Fred was always clear he wasn't doing it for the music and Wes was always clear that he was- so it was inevitable.

So, I have nothing against Fred Durst because he's an honest dude- even if he can be a bit of an attention whore. I still like some of Limp Bizkits older songs (especially the first CD which was their best and boldest work). It's a shame Fred didn't actually care about what they were doing, though. No one else did either, though, so his relevance disappearing was only a matter of time. At least he got to direct some videos and stuff- something he really enjoyed doing (and he probably still does somewhere). That and his wrestling... thing. Whatever that was.

Him playing games on Twitch in any regard was an inevitability as well. To bad I missed it live, though. There's always his archive I guess.

I'm actually interested in seeing how his streams hold up, I don't think I've listened to Limp Bizkit since... Wrestlemania 17.
