Game Over for Bob

Am I the only one who wasn't that impressed with his game to begin with? The videos looked boring.

Anyways as an aspiring game developer myself I now know which route to never take. (Granted I had never even considered locking myself up as an act of protest to begin with...)

If this ever does come out, he should just keep the youtube comments and put the music from Psycho in it and it will officially be the scariest game ever.

So he has a sick sense of humor on top of everything else. Awesome. With all the release platforms out there I don't get why he's wasting his time with Nintendo if his game is supposedly so awesome.

The game actually looked really cool. Really, it did! When he did the protest though, he made himself look like a lunatic and he ruined his chances of ever doing business with Nintendo and being taken seriously.

Poor Bob, he has serious issues and his game isn`t going anywhere (so far)
He does seem a little cocky and insane but I'd like to see this game go somewhere since he has worked on it alone for the last 5 years.

Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft are just heartless corporation hell bent on making as much money as possible. I wish everyone would wake up and finally see this so we can get this whole "fanboy" thing over with and stop things like this from happening.

I just read his life story on his site, and honestly what was he thinking? Nintendo would never cave in, and the saddest part is that his game didn't look half bad.

I really hope someone, if not Nintendo, gives this game a shot and see how the market feels about it.

I thought he was not soupposed to have interent access except for his  cell phone.


Where the hell is the web  came feed coming from? did he rig one to his cell phone?

Why would any coder live without internet access anyway? They don't they need that wired connection, besides he has a big ass monitor anybody that serious about hardware and coding would have internet access on that PC  over some thing like i dunno paying the heating bill if he had to pick. sure as a hell a damn phone would be the last thing coders want.

But know what would be funnier? If his game actually did come out for the DS and then sold roughly 5 copies (Like Psychonauts but more emo and less funny). Then he could whine that people don't appreciate his dumb looking game.

I guess Giant Bomb called it. Dude is just crazed at this point. I can sort of see things from his point of view, though. He wasted years of his life working on this game. He shouldn't have just assumed Nintendo would be instantly willing to pick it up, though.

and sombody should tell bob that the ds is just using a simple old ass ARM9 and arm7 cpu that have been in PDA/cellphones/whatever and a bunch of other crap that can play games and do not need nintendo tp publish and most likeyly can be ported over with little effort. hell it would even have a touch screen. and it don;t look like his game uses 2 screens.


case in point Hyperspace Delivery Boy  a game I bought for my pda a long time ago and looks and most likely plays like bobs game and don't need a publisher for people to buy it since it is on an open platform there are lots of open platform moble devices that use arm 9 cpu
s and the instruction set would most likely work just fine with no changes on those devices.

so what the hell is he whining about?  Even xbox 360 has a rather cheep  XNA platform and is selling them for $2 a pop I have been paying some of them. that is how the software biz works put it on what you can hope it catches on let people play it.  Alien hommind and N+ did not start out on the console they was put ot free on an open platform AKA the PC.
