GameLense is an application I had a dream about two nights ago. So I woke up and immediately started coding. After about six hours I felt it was working well and I decided to release it for you guys. This is just a for fun project, it's free to use and free to share without anyone you like. (It's possible I may release the source code on GitHub)

 GameLense lets you view upcoming games easily.

You need to have the .NET Framework 4 installed, but don't worry if you don't have it. The installer automagically installs what you need for you. :)

So what does it do? You just select the platform you want to view the games on and it loads the relevant information. Title, release date, basic plot of the game. You can also click on the image to be taken to the game Giantbomb page, or the small YouTube icon to be taken to a gameplay video of the game.

I made this for myself really, as an easy way to see upcoming games, but hopefully you guys enjoy it and suggest things you would like to see.

Note: This application has no viruses, trojans or any other nasty shit. Scan it if you like.

Unfortunately the API is very lacking at the moment so I had to resort to parsing HTML from the site.

Dude ! Parsing HTML .. I feel for you man. I had to do an Wikipedia HTML parser a few months back for a school project and it literally drove me insane. Though, I recently used the GB API .. and it's not that bad. Sure, a lot of improvements can be made, but hey, it's free and it's functional.

But anyway, good work duder ! :)

@Venom2112: Actually parsing the HTML was relatively easy with HtmlAgilityPack. That library really enabled me to write straightforward code.

Yeah, that's exactly the problem I faced when I was coding up an HTML parser. We had to parse some data from the Wikipedia page .. but the god damn page keeps changing every day. Which is why I am so happy we are moving towards a more semantic web. Seriously .. fuck you HTML :P
