What games do you think just need and deserve a sequel? The key word here is need. While I think most of us will list games that deserve a sequel (no one is seriously going to list something shitty) some games just shouldn't have sequels. Case in point: Eternal Darkness.
And then games that just need to be made (this will be general)
Anyway, here's my list:
-Jet Set Radio Future 2 (the xbox one was just an upgrade of the last one really)---> Self explanatory
-Conker 2: The Lost Nuts---> Should still have that crazy varitety for each level. However, instead of parodying movies, it should do games.
-Battletoads XBLA new game. 2d
- A new series from Rare. Yes, I do want sequels from their older franchises ( i listed 2 here), but let's get new series. VP is great and so was Kameo, but how about a new platformer type game? VP is a, well, a gardening game (lulz) and Kameo was more of an action-adventure game. Let's see a platformer
- a new series from Bungie. Yea, Halo rocks. That being said, it'd be nice to see what they can do now. The last non Halo game they made was Myth 2 (oni wasn't really a bungie game. It was just a different studio rockstar set up when they owned them that just had the name bungie slapped on it really. Good news however. Bungie has said numerous times that they have at least 1 new ip coming up, with a total of 3 going on right now (if you include recon)
- Final Fantasy 13. With how long this is taking, you'd wonder if the game is even be produced right now or if they're taking a break...
Games that need to be made
Hmmm, I'll bite. These games:
-Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic III (A real sequel)
-Star Wars: Battlefront 3
-Elder Scrolls V
-A new Legacy of Kain game
-An Iron Man game with sandbox gameplay
-A Batman game with sandbox gameplay, inspired by Chris Nolan's universe
-A new FPS James Bond game that doesn't suck
-A BiggerBomb platformer
The end.
Elder Scrolls V
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3 - Single player, real time combat and a true sequel to the previous two games in the series.
New Valve IP series - Half Life has been a major success but it would be nice to see Valve start up an entirely different and new series as their mainstream IP.
"Aliens vs Predator 3 - Must have some Dead Space horror feeling to it. With a scale of emphasis on Co-op like Left 4 Dead has with the combination of open world and gunplay similar to FarCry2 and Crysis. Along with the movement mechanics of Assassin's Creed for the Predator specifically, they are athletic by nature.I especially agree with the last one.
Elder Scrolls V
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3 - Single player, real time combat and a true sequel to the previous two games in the series.
New Valve IP series - Half Life has been a major success but it would be nice to see Valve start up an entirely different and new series as their mainstream IP."
Valve hasn't made a true game for a while now.
Obviously, they have made new games, but all of them feel like half a game. HL2 was the last. The expansions are fine but TF2 felt like it couldn't survive as its own game, same with Portal and sadly Left 4 Dead.
Eternal Darkness, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger, Skies of Arcadia sequels need to be made.
