Games that people will still talk about in 2050?

We'll all be bitching about a Final Fantasy 7 remake still, I'm sure

In terms of more contemporary stuff Portal, Rock Band 3, Heavy Rain, WoW, Goldeneye/Perfect Dark, Metal Gear Solid Series, Mass Effect 2, Uncharted 2, Tony Hawk: RIDE (for obvious reasons) and a bunch more but I can't think of them right now.

Typing of the Dead

The Zelda and Mario series in general will be heralded as classics for the eternity of gaming. I think Red Dead Redemption and the Mass Effect series along with Grand Theft Auto IV will be cited as classics because they sort of "elevated" gaming into another level in terms of atmosphere and story. They may not be the greatest gaming has to offer in terms of story, but Red Dead's atmosphere, Mass Effect's "personal" (you know what I mean) story and GTA just has a good story and atmosphere. Story games like those need to take a note from those games. Game-play wise I'd argue differently.
