Personally, I only see Heavy Rain and Metro 2033 as next-gen graphics so far.
Games with best graphics so far?
Uncharted 2, MGS4, RE5 are some that stand out for me, graphically. Haven't played Heavy Rain yet though so not too versed with its overall graphics. Then theirs God of War 3 which looks to be one of the best lookers for the ps3 so far.
Besides the obvious, such games as Condemned 2 I thought had some very detailed graphics too.
Heavy Rain had some pretty bad jaggy issues and the environment textures were a little meh,
So far I would say FF13, Bad Company 2 and Metro 2033
I'm assuming OP meant technical graphics. I would rather rename artistic graphics as "art direction", just to ensure people keep them both separate." @BeachThunder said:

" @LiquidPrince said:Indeed. A pattern forms." Uncharted 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, God of War III, Heavy Rain "Killzone 2 "
In alphabetical order, and in terms of overall presentation rather than just artistic or technical:
Anno series

lol yeaaaaaahhhh im looking for good ones on this site but so many are shitty quality. i think gow3 looks above and beyond though, Kratos' is the best looking character model i've ever seen in that game. yeah, and im comparing to crysis too." @TwoOneFive: That pic of MGS4 is a terrible reprensation, it more reminds me of countless users that can't be bothered changing their default user avi =( "
Metal Gear Solid 4 is a joke. Don't even mention it - it does not belong in the same league as Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 et al.

Mass Effect 2 (PC). Not only is it really good technically (though not the best, I guess), but the artistic parts bring it above and beyond other games, IMO.
If we're going purely technical, I still think Crysis holds up. I also remember being more impressed than I thought I would be with GOW2 on my friends 1080p TV.
Also I don't really get the praise for Heavy Rain. I did not find it attractive at all.. but that's just me. I also haven't seen Uncharted 2 yet so I can't comment there.
Obviously Crysis still reigns supreme in terms of pure graphical quality, but there has been some other great looking games. Uncharted 2, Gears of war 2, Crackdown, GTA4, Killzone 2, God of war 3, BFBC2.
I really thought GTA4 was amazingly good for an open world game, which was so densly populated by buildings, cars and people. Crackdown was also pretty cool looking with its cartoony artstye, most recently Bad company2 has some stunning environmental backdrops.
Huge list, but I like Tower Defense the most.

I thought "Heavy Rain" was a bit unbalanced... good facial animations but crap body models. I'd have to say RE5 is the most balanced... maybe Uncharted 2 although it's quite cartoony... but it's slick! Killzone 2?.." Personally, I only see Heavy Rain and Metro 2033 as next-gen graphics so far. "

Heavy Rain looks good, but has some pretty awful animations and textures at times.
Uncharted 2, Gears 2 (i still think the gears games look awesome), FF13 (and not just the cgi, although that is fucking amazing), Killzone 2 (although that uses the "this game is really dark to hide a lot of things" trick like Metro seems to do) and the Ratchet ps3 games are some of my stand outs. Oh and I personally think Street Fighter 4 looks amazing, and if you define next gen as something the last gen could not do, than it counts for me.
God Of War 3 seems to probably take the lead soon over Uncharted 2, but I wont judge it from videos until I play it
" Metal Gear Solid 4 is a joke. Don't even mention it - it does not belong in the same league as Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 et al. "no other game has nearly as complex stuff going on as mgs4, so considering all the ai, all of the different mechanics, al of the different weapons, audio, etc etc etc the whole game looks phenomenal.
I am still in shock over seeing Uncharted 2 and God of War 3, I will be honest, when the PS3 came out I thought it was a POS but Sony has truly shown that the system is capable of Amazing things, Truly the best looking games ever made. Crysis is a technical achievement but UC2 and GOW3 are much nicer looking when it comes to style.
" Crysis beats pretty much anything else out there. Not by much, but it still just edges it. "However should we factor in that it takes a nice machine to run crysis?(I got to play it on my laptop and I admit it looks wonderful) However we should think about the games that are open to all gamers. Not ones with just PCS or what not.

PS2:God of War 2
Are we talking "best graphics" as in "most technically proficient graphics (framerate, level of detail, anti-aliasing et cetera)", or are we talking "best graphics" as in "best-looking graphics(how good the end result looks, regardless of what the artistic and technical sides are like individually)".
" @The_Laughing_Man said:And now my next question. Are we saying " Most realistic?" Or "Best looking?" I liked how Borderlands looked. And I think FF13 looks betifule. Crysis however by far has the most realistic.
