Games you just have to S Rank

So my girlfriend got me L.A Noire as a birthday gift last year, and even though I left it home from school I know it's the first game I'm playing when I get back home. I just have the huge urges to S rank it and beat it 100 percent. What are some other games you guys have played that you weren't satisfied beating once, but you wanted to 100 percent it.

I'm 2 achievements away from Mass Effect 2 and they seem reasonable.

I always get S-Ranks in games, but then they come out with DLC and add 15 new achievements that I do not feel like getting.

I was so close to S ranking Borderlands and then they added all the DLC so i gave up on that haha. I want to try S Ranking Arkham City, but I feel like that will take forever.

For some Godforsaken reason, I felt it necessary to S-Rank Crysis. Honestly, I have no idea why I did it.

Other than that the only one I felt necessary to S-Rank was Oblivion.

Halo Reach just because that was easiest for me.

People who follow me on Twitter know how horridly compulsive I am about S-Ranks.

The ones I'm proudest of:

• Fallout 3
• Dead Space - loved that game so much, barely took any time.
• COD4
• Deadly Premonition - that shit was hard work, yo!

The ones that were still enjoyable but got to be a grind at the end:

• Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom
• The Saboteur

The ones I need to get:

• Shadows of the Damned - playing it right now, only two to go!
• Vanquish - fucking love this game, but I just can't get that last cheevo. One day...
• EDIT: Forgot to mention that I've only gotta do Shivering Isles and I've got Oblivion wrapped up as well.

I try and S rank all the games i buy, but generally end up shelving the game im working on when something new comes along.

@Xdsk that's what I usually end up doing also haha. Something about L.A Noire though is calling me out, and I want to S rank that game.

I had to do Skyrim because that game was awesome and it's super easy to s rank. Am now working on gears 3 which is a real bitch but I love gears 3.

I hate that the difficulty achievements/trophies don't stack. Gotta play it two more times before I can S Rank it.

@Faltru: Yeah, it's a bit of a bitch, innit? Finished it on Legion Hunter on the weekend - only got my easy Lemon Hunter play and all the red gems to go!

Crysis was easy. The closest S-Rank within reason for me at the moment is Doom II. That Breaking Brad video got me back on that horse.

I wouldn't worry about that. Nobody cares about Steam achievements. :P

So far I did:

• Mass Effect 2 until they added the DLC. Just have to do Overlord.
• Assassin's Creed 2
• Oblvion and Skyrim
• Modern Warfare 2
• Beyond Good and Evil HD

The Mass Effect games must be S-ranked for me.
 
Otherwise just good games that really interest me, like Red Dead Redemption.

Mayhem Intergalactic seemed like a game I could S-Rank without too much difficulty. So I did.

hopefully I can s-rank mass effect 3 because I did it for 2 and mass effect 1 maybe if I'm insane enough

I have never had that desire, as I never got into the whole achievements thing. I play the game until I reach the end of the story and/or am satisfied with the time I put into it and not making sure a check-list of achievements are done. I have no problem with them in general, it's just that most of them are designed to be masochistic in nature and I just never saw the appeal in making a thing that's supposed to be fun frustrating and maddening.

I guess the closest I came was one of the L4D games when I noticed that I had pretty much all of them but a couple of the maps playing on realism hard mode, and I had just so happened to have started to get bored with the game and wanted to challenge myself and was in the process of playing that very game mode with a few friends. I got nearly all of them and then they released some free content and added a fuck ton more and I just lost all desire to try for the couple I was missing when they would just be constantly adding more and more to get.

Uncharted 3 I'm only missing 2! wich aren't all that hard but they're one of those "get 30 kills with this weapon" , I'm also very close with Mass Effect 2 but I don't know if buying Arrival is woth the S Rank

I really thought i could get the S rank in Space Marine, until the DLC came out with a nearly impossible new exterminous(horde mode) map. So there is that and....
 
I bought the Borderlands GOTY edition on Steam i think for $10. I only need a few more achievements but some are either bugged(claptrap collectables) or just annoying to go after(Braaains, Mad Moxxi).

I would love to either S-Rank Chronicles of Riddick, The Darkness, or Condemned 2 but can't because the remaining achievements are online and it's pretty damn difficult to find people willing to help you. 
I've always wanted to go back and sink my teeth into the remaining Halo achievements I have. 
 
There's also Prince of Persia (2008) with it's remaining DLC I never really tried out. Also I need to finish off Ico under two hours or something. I have lot's of B's that I should try to beef-up.

The inFamous games. I thoroughly enjoined getting 100% in all three games. Also the God of War games. I have yet to play the origins collection on PS3 but I did play them on PSP. Those games are also great.

The most fun I had getting an S rank was with Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet. That was just a good time playing with my brother and I still think it is the best Marvel game ever made. I was also the first Giant Bomber to get a platinum trophy in that game. :)

The only retail game i've S ranked is inFamous 2 and after beating it for the first time I realized that I could get the rest of the trophies just by playing through it again as an evil character.

I don't know how you haven't done Oblivion yet. I end up accidentally S ranking bethesda games because it's so easy. Also, shivering isles is amazing! Tons of content in there.

I'm close to S ranking ME3. I'm working on 1 and 2. I already have 2 S ranked on the PS3 but when I got a 360 I decided to get 1 and 2. Later I'll get ME3 for the 360 and try to S rank that.

I have three games I can S-rank reasonably easy. Just need to get up the motivation to do so. Assassins Creed 1 & 2, and Fallout 3. Specifically, just going down the Neutral path in F3. That'll take a few hours to do so.

@yoshimitz707: I haven't got hold of Shivering Isles yet; once I'd got the regular 1000GS out of the main game I just needed a break. Once I do get hold of the DLC, though, I'm guessing I'll breeze through it.

MW2 and CoD4 were the only games I had a strong urge to S-rank.

@buzz_clik: Shivering Isles is surprisingly long. There's also a pretty obvious fork where you'll have to choose for one single achievement over another and will get locked out unless you start the story again, so keep a spare save ready. It's damn obvious when you have the choice.

I'm a Gamerscore tragic so I've already gone down this road; the only one I missed lately is Skyrim because of the stupid Daedric items and one where you can fudge it so you get the requisite amounts. I'm going back to the Saboteur to give that a go though; such a fun game.

Wow, you guys have so much time. Im sure if they had achievements when I was 14-18yo I'd have a bunch of games S-ranked. When you have no money you play the shit out of the games you've got, now that I can afford games I don't have the time finnish everything in each game. Kinda this:

10 Achievements to go on Skyrim. They are all fairly simple, I just need the time to complete them :P

I haven't S-ranked any of them yet, but I plan on it.

I try to max out all the games I start, but I just tend to get new ones (especially indie ones) on such fast pace that I just leave most of my games half-finished. I'm also quite bad gamer, so if I fail at some "hard" achievement, I might not return to it after few failed tries.

I hate the fact that your S-rank dissapears after the release of DLC. For instance, I S-Ranked Costume Quest but lost that because of DLC. I eventually bought the DLC but I haven't played it yet. While I do prefer Achievements over Trophies, I think that Sony has a better system for handling DLC. You never lose the Platinum trophy if there is DLC.

I need to finish that Darkness II S-Rank, but I had to restore my PS3 to factory settings about a month ago and lost my save file so I have to start over, which isn't a bad thing (it's a great game) but I have so many other games I want to play that it's kind of been put on hold for now.

LA Noire is a hard S rank with the collectibles. Plus you must get all the DLC as well. I find if I really enjoy a game and it does not have multiplayer achievements then I will make a run at an S rank. The remaining achievements have to be fun to earn as well

Favorite ones of last year were Dead Space 2 and Batman: Arkham City. Hell I would give anything for a reason to play more Batman (hopefully those DLC rumors are true). Going for the Mass Effect 3 S rank as we speak since it meets all the requirements for me to try and get it. I think thats the bottom line, if you have fun doing it, then go for it. I don't grind or do anything that is time consuming for the sake of an S rank, some games are not worth it or the achievements are just too ridiculous.

To my knowledge, I have 0 S-ranks.

Skyrim and Castlevainia lords of shadow, i do have other s ranks in games like Mass effect 3, Assassins creed 2, mini ninjas++ but Skyrim and Castlevainia were the only two i felt i needed to s-rank

Mass effect games. I had fallout 3, but i didn't buy all the dlc to it so that went away. I have many games almost full but i rarely bother with the "find all hidden blaa blaas". Skyrim is probably my next, though steam achievements dont count for shit.
