Games you think it will Flop

• Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts
• Far Cry 2
• Mirrors Edge
• Resistance 2

Far Cry 2? I don't think so. If anything will flop it will be the next Zelda. I mean unles they do something drastic the Zelda formula is actually getting a little stale as polished as the games may be.

You sure deserve the fail award. None of those games are going to fail, most of them (with exception to Mirror's Edge and Resistance 2 a little bit....) aren't really that hyped which sucks because all of them look really good.

Fallout 3 and Left 4 Dead.

Naw, I'm kidding with you, I don't really know. Mirror's Edge won't flop I think, but it might not be an AAA game.

I called it with Mercs 2 but I'll go with games that haven't come out yet:

-Gears of War 2

-Resistance 2

-Killzone 2

I'm not really sure what being a 'flop' entails... it doesn't sell as well as expected?  Or people like us go online and moan that it wasn't all that good (despite spending sixty dollars on it).

For example, the more I think about Halo 3 the more I think it was a bit rubbish really, at least compared to what it was supposed to be.  Of course, it sold a lot, got good reviews, and has a lot of fans.  But the more I think of it, it didn't really measure up to my personal expectations.

On that note:

Killzone 2 (I have no idea why people are so excited about this game)

Fable 2 (I liked Fable, but people are falling for Molyneux's hype, AGAIN - Fable 2 will be good but it won't reinvent video games)

Saints Row 2 (I know it isn't exactly being hailed from the rooftops, but I think it'll be a good game with issues, when it could be more than that)

I can see Killzone 2 dying on its arse. Sony genuinely have nothing so they have to push it, but the first game was garbage and I don't expect this one to be much different so it could end up a humiliating flop like Haze. I can see Nuts & Bolts being a sleeper hit kind of like Viva Pinata, which is a good thing because hype is good for nothing.

Killzone 2 and Fable 2 seem to be destined to flop in the review world.

I'm going out on a limb here saying Wii Music will flop in sales... I just don't see it catching on like Wii Sports or Wii Fit did.

Killzone 2 could very well flop. I hated the first one but this one actually looks like it's playable. It doesn't hurt that it's pleasing to the eyes this time, too. All the multiplayer stuff sounds kind of derivative, but still cool.
Either way, if Sony doesn't market the hell out of this thing, it will flop.

That Dairy Queen Tycoon game being put out by Gamemill.

TBH they have never developed a really awesome game. Their games are okay but aren't that great."

I agree. Killzone 2 looks pretty, but it just doesn't look fun."

My definition of a "flop" does not go by score-wise, but if I was hyping it and it disappointed me somehow. I guess I will have to say Gears of War 2, not so much for the fact I will hate it, but I'm hyping it extremely high, and I know it won't live up to that expectations.

I will enjoy it immensely, no doubt, but I don't think it will live up to my hype. Maybe I shouldn't hype it so high. Whether it doesn't live up or not, Gears of War 2 will be awesome.

resistance 2 and killzone 2. sure resistance 1 got an 8.5 but now of course any old shooter doesn't cut it after halo 3, bioshock, crysis, and soon to be gears 2. and many other lesser titles. although i think it will sell on the gimmicky "ZOMG 60 PLAYERZ" basis alone. as for killzone 2... come on it might have motion blur and jerking enemiess but watching the videos, come on people it plays like crap and struggles past the 10 year old GOLDENEYE for gameplay.

I think the new Banjo will either flop or extremely exceed expectations...I would also say that these games may have some problems selling...

I assume by Flop you mean not sell well. Which means you AREN'T necessarily saying these games will get bad reviews, right? I hope thats what you mean, because if not then you are feeding into some type of diseased videogame industry mentality where all that matters are review scores, and that simply isn't good for anybody...

But anyway...

• Fracture (I'm just not sure about it....)
• Lips (At first at least, I think it will have a long sell through life though...)
• Red Faction (Again, just not sure about it... the beta was pretty cool though)
• Call of Duty: World at War (Actually, I just HOPE that this game flops, so that we can stop seeing Call of Duty games sometime in the next century!)
• Far Cry 2  (It will sell OK, but people already have it out for this game, and if you know anything about all those internet forum stalking nerds, they can beat down a game into unimportance within days. See: Too Human)
• Crysis Warhead (I just dont see it moving that many units)
• Little Big Planet (I don't think this game will sell much outside of the "hardcore" gamer demographic, despite sony's effort to brand this the game for "everyone". It just seems kind of boring, and the general public, as much as they enjoy customizing existing games like The Sims, aren't really too gung-ho about making levels and basically "making a game" like in Little Big Planet" (cue defenders of this "videogame industry darling" from all reaches on the interenet universe.)
