I really, really miss Spyro. I grew up with him and I loved Insomniac's games. I understand that by the third one they were kind of out of ideas, but then again I'm one of those guys who would buy the same game over and over again. The main reason I'm bringing this up is because there is a lack of classic PSone Spyro games on my Vita. Same for Crash. Is this a licensing problem? What gaming characters do you miss?
Gaming characters that you miss.
I miss Joanna Dark from Perfect Dark. The game had a cool universe, and I liked the British characters. Maybe the writing and plot were decent in Perfect Dark Zero, but I heard such bad things about how it played that I never checked it out. I'm sad that that series went nowhere, though it did tie up its universe so well in the first game that I'm kind of OK with that.
@AcidBrandon18: Crash and Spyro were the very first names I thought of when I saw the title. It pains me that their appeal and legacy has pretty much been stomped into non-existence in the modern era. Also, they didn't even get a mention in Playstation All Stars, so clearly Sony doesn't give a shit about them. Therefore, fuck that game.
Any others would just be characters from games I really liked, and still play fairly regularly. Mission from KOTOR, for example.
I miss Lammy.. I played Um Jammer Lammy a lot when I was a little kid. More people know Parappa but Lammy is still the rhythm game I remember most fondly. The game's not on my region's PSN, what a bummer.
Crash Bandicoot, he was the reason why I wanted a psx back in the day. His games when I was a kid were amazing and was the reason I dragged my dad to a Toys R' US just to play a few minutes of crash bandicoot on the psx demo kiosk.
Tombi/Tomba. Still my two favorite platformers.
Sir Dan from Medievil. I find it strange that they included him in PS all stars when he's from a franchise that has been essentially dead for years.
And I must concur in regards to the original renditions of Crash and Spyro.
Character that I just say that I miss but really don't because the games were terrible(In my opinion, don't get your panties curled up your butt)
Crash Bandicoot, he was a good character in a bunch of boring games.
Characters I actually would like to see a return of though are(this is gonna be a long list)
All from the same game:
Beat, Polka, Serenade, Viola, March, Salsa, Jazz, Allegretto, Claves, Crescendo, Falsetto and last but by no means least: Frédéric
Vivi Orunitia from Final Fantasy IX. I really miss his humorous characteristic. But mostly it is because of his sad ending.
I miss Dog. The best dog ever in any video game ever.

There's at least one Spyro game on PSN. I know this because I got it free from that weird video magazine thing they used to have (Qore?)
I also miss Crash, that's what I got started on in the video game world. I also miss Parappa the Rapper. I only ever played his demo on this one game I had, but I played the demo so many times. I wish I had the full game to play again. I still watch some of music on youtube because it was catchy
Here's the link to what the demo was
I miss Raze from Raze's Hell. Such a good, underrated game!

Crash Bandicoot
Same here. I mean Naughty Dog Crash not all those other sequels Crash of course.
Alice from the first Phantasy Star. I remember thinking she was really cool when I was a kid mostly because she was the lead character, and a fighter no less, of a video game during an era when that was even less likely to occur then it is now. Plus I liked the premise of her going after person who killed her brother. She didn't really have a personality exactly as that game barely had a story. But it was still a cool premise given the time when it was released.
