Gears of War 2 MP is UNPLAYABLE which means NOT FUN!!

I agree with you.

I only play private matches because I really don't like the idea of playing with random strangers and I don't think it would be nearly as fun either. I can see where the frustration is if you want to play public matches, but honestly, I love Gears so much I would buy the game even if it only had a single-player campaign. That's just me though.

Actually the game is very playable. Lag is annoying and does happen, but it's not in every game just occasionally. Matchmaking sucks indeed, smoke is a questionable design choice, and chainsaw needs to be nerfed. All of this does not equal "unplayable." If that's what you think, go try out The Darkness' MP.

- Lag happens in any game, most of the time in GOW2 its pretty good though
- The chainsaw is stoppable, trust me
- The matchmaking system does suck
- Shotguns are underpowered, it seems to be sporadic and i think lag effects the power of it (i.e. you think you hit them in the head, but because of some lag it doesn't register correctly.
- Stun Grenades are ok, everyone has them so it doesn't really make it unfair or anything like that. The smoke should stay around for longer though.

You have alot of valid points, but whinging like a 10 year old will get you nowhere. Epic have already said that they are working on a fix for the matchmaking system, balancing will happen... Be patient my friend.

@ Psynapse: I hear ya but you know what. I paid and so did you  and about 2 million others paid for a COMPLETE game. Now I understand sometimes you can't help it that bugs happen. Now I played thru Gears 2 and thought it was a decent game not this huge revoluntary step some are claming. But if what it takes is to screem like a 10 year old girl to get them to do the right thing. Then I will contiune to screem. I will contiune to screem till they release something other than " we are working on the problem".

What that i spell a couple of words wrong? Yeah ok you got me. Now what? Still doesn't change the fact that this game is broken for MOST people. I am not going to say all people because as some you pointed out already have no lag with the game.

LOL!!! I don't know. I am still trying to get use to GB system. After using GS posting system for so long i have to relearn where everything is at here.

Like i said i'm not saying it doesn't have issues, and you are clearly mis-informed if you want to rant and rave... Check the www.gearsofwar.com forums first, there have been mods saying that they are working to fix alot of the issues that people have reported.

Coming from a support background i know that kicking and screaming gets you nowhere. If you don't like the game then perhaps you should have waited until everyone got their copies and have complained... I bet you still would have bought the game anyway.

It's an epic experience because the chance you do get to be in a match is unforgettable until you realize how long it'll take to get in again.

I agree that the wait time for getting into a game alone is ridiculous. Actually, that game is rubbish IMO because my game is not allowing me to load from where I am in the story, nor is it letting me start a new game. Thank jeebus I only rented it, or I'd be bullshit.
