Giant Bomb iPhone App Updated

• Fixed a crash when loading 25 more items.
• Added a big fat "Play attached video" button on news stories that contain a GB video.
• Replaced the lower video icon.
• Fixed a crash when switching from new releases before it finished loading to search, then back again.
• Fixed a crash in search when scrolling through search items whilst another search was in progress.
• Fixed incorrect date ordinals (no more 12nd etc) in New Releases.
• Changed the date format in New Releases to include day of week.
• Narrowed the initial new release date window so that more current games are displayed.
• The sort order for game specific vids is now newest to oldest.
• We are now targeting iphone os 2.2.1 instead of 3.0 for those who may not have upgraded yet.

Yay, now I don't have to pay Apple an extra 10 dollars to make the iPod Touch I'll inevitably get to work with this application.

Ah good news, tried using a few times, today watching that persona 4 I was scrolling to see where it broke, and my whole phone froze, not sure if it's like that with all videos or it's just my bugged phone, because that's dodgey aswell. I.e. the volume button occasionally carries on being pressed even if it's not in, only every so often though.

This maybe a little to soon to ask, but are you guys thinking about making an app on the new PSP app store?

Damn, I broke down earlier today, and coughed up the 5$ they want for copy and paste, JUST so that I could get the GB app. Even more pissed at Apple now.

Dammit guys, I spent the 10 bucks to get 3.0 JUST to get your app. Oh well, the personal apology makes me feel better about it. But please, do keep up the good work and make sure that this 12 dollar app (10 to apple, 2 to you) is worth the money. A bombcast tab would be a good start.

Love it! Would love it even more if you changed the app icon, current one feels a little... rough. A suggestion is to make it like the Peggle iPhone icon but with the giant bomb-bomb; just the outlined bomb and a black background. Man, that would be awesome.

I finally got around to ordering an iPhone yesterday. Now I'm just waiting for it to arrive at the AT&T store so I can go pick it up. Can't wait to download this app!

Awesome, the 25 video thing was bugging me. I've really digging the app.

This is a great app, although I was wondering why I couldn't get past the 25 videos. I'm glad that's fixed. Good work. Does anyone know how he caching works? Those videos I download go somewhere, does the app automatically delete them?

As a Blackberry Bold user myself, I think it'd be great if an app for Blackberry's could be developed.

And don't forget the Android version!

Thanks for the non-3.0 update.  Big deal.  Love apple, but the two options of "Remind Me Later" and "Upgrade" was super annoying.  Like an ultimatum. Glad others felt the same.

Hey, how about those people running old firmware hold off buying a game for a week and upgrade their damn iPods.  $9.95 isn't much to ask for better functionality.  It's worth it.

Seriously, Jeff? Have you tried it? It keeps on crashing to the point in which it becomes useless. You should return it to the guys who programmed it, and check the quality before it is released. Specilly when you are specialized in evaluating software.

This app is amazing just because I can watch GB videos while my girlfriend watches "So You Think You Can Dance."  As long as I'm on the couch with her it counts as "spending time together."

I love Giantbomb.

Its cool. The upgrade was only 10 bucks. Which is way to pricy, but the wifi gaming works pretty well. So it was worth it. 

Just to let you guys know, getting rid of the 3.0 requirement was a great idea. You got another sale from me!
