Giant Bombathon returns next week, Oct. 5th, live and in person!

In case you didn't hear it on the Bombcast or on social media, GB will be getting together next week to stream all day long.

ngl, this is pretty exciting. esp given it's in nyc- not going to get my hopes up, but there is some decent cameo potential from friends both new and old.

This is very exciting.

I still don't really understand what this really is supposed to 'be' but I guess I'll catch up on the vod when it's done then.

I'd be curious to hear how the decision to do this anywhere but the west coast came about as that's fairly surprising. Even in this new era where not only is the gang more dispersed than ever but also lacking Gerstmann, there's still 4 people essentially "anchoring" the site in SF, where the RV office actually is. Whatever the reasons, I think it's cool that RV greenlit this adventure. Must be some Ryckert connection.

Looking forward to seeing GB interacting in person again! Hope everything is able to go off without a hitch.

Considering premium has taken a backseat/lower priority (as has been explained by the staff before) I'll be curious to see if there is any premium mention during this.

@trevor_a-train: I assume they will be pushing premium pretty regularly throughout the day. That's what this type of thing is always for.

@splodge: I would assume so too, but we shall see if they do/have any updates since premium definitely provides different things now than it previously did

I suspect this will come with a premium sale, along with the announcement of new shows that are premium-only.

Edit: Even if it doesn't, I am very excited for this!

They talked about a new version of premium in june . There has not been much talk since then , so I think it might be announced at this. They talked about a 3 level system so this might be about that. " Anyone who is actively subscribed at the time we launch the addition Premium levels will be automatically grandfathered into Level 2. We're aiming for a total of 3 Levels."

I'm looking forward to this.

This'll be fun, hopefully they have some of those New York area "mystery" guests pop in for a bit.

And I hope someone's available to make a table of contents or something with the archive. I tend to get overwhelmed with giant archives and wind up skipping a lot of the uploads after the fact.

Any word on if Jason will be in attendance? I know he's tweeted about being under the weather of late.

I'd like to see some of them finally meeting in person. It's gonna be a great time.
