Good games you've never finished.

have you ever played a game you thought was really good, but then for some reason stopped playing it and never went back to it?
I for example thought Lost Odyssey was really good, but in Disc 3 I was forced to use certain characters against an Ice boss I had never bothered to level up, so I never got any further than that point in the game. Which is a shame, since the game is really good. so, please share your stories from good games you've never finished:)

Okami on the PS2.

Don't get me wrong I loved the game, just never got round to completing it for some reason.

Half-Life. I've gotten up to Xen and then I stopped playing because it was no longer fun.
Metroid Prime. I'm up to the final boss, but I just can't be assed to beat it.

Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga
Couldnt be stuffed smacking that last boss with the same attacks and dodging the same things over and over again

I still haven't finished Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.  I need to get on that.

Countless Legend of Zelda handheld games.

Okami and DragonQuest VIII.

That's because my Ps2 is broken.

Bioshock, but to be honest, it was starting to piss me off.

Still need to go back and finish Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake as well.

grinding got to me, so i just read a synopsis online

Oblivion for sure, the lag on the 360 got to me before i could manage to drag myself away from the dark brotherhood quest line long enough to do it

the legend of zelda OOT , i think it was the water temple when your older link that just made me put the game down and go sulk in a corner

GTA IV, God of war 2, and Final Fantasy XII to name a few

Oh and FFXII might be arguable on the good game part, I just loved the rest of them and feel
obliged to finish that one too. :P

Planescape: Torment, Fallout II, Baldurs Gate 1 and 2, Icewind Dale 1 and 2, Beyond Good and Evil and Dreamfall: the Longest Journey...
All of them are great games that I haven't finished. :(

I know that Elder Scroll: Oblivion and Grand Theft Auto 4 are good, I just never finished them, so I can't really determine that.

Metroid Prime 2 - Awesome game but once I got to the last boss I just stopped playing...
Morrowind - a proverbial yawn-fest, I couldn't finish it..

Oh, I've two worth mentioning.

Tomba!: Saved before the last boss and never played it again. Never even attempted the boss.

Beyond Good and Evil: Enjoyed the hell out of it, but couldn't beat the boss. I remember him being very cheap.

Final Fantasy VII, under circumstances I couldn't control.

I never finished Mass Effect for some reason.

Final Fantasy X. I regard it as one of my all time favourite games, but I still haven't completed it.

Ocarina of Time, definitely. I've got the gold cart sitting right there, weeping to itself softly.

Condemned 2. But I can pick that up again whenever. I don't see myself getting around to it anytime soon, though.

Oh man, there are so many of those. The one that stands out the most is Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. I was in the last part of that game and then the disk drive of my PS2 died. I still have to buy a new PS2 and finish that game.

metroid prime 3, gta iv, metal gear solid 2, and i'm sure many more. though the good ones, i usually get back to in the end.

Oblivion, Battlefield: Bad Company (can't do the last level), Lost Odyssey (almost finished), Half life 2, Half life 2: episode 2 and some other I can't remember right now but I will get back to this

And quite a few more. And you can see, most of these games are older. I use to rarely finish games but now I'm very tenacious about finishing them. I will got back to these games though.

Final Fantasy 8

The game won't go past after I defeat Adel. Even so, it's one of the best games I've ever played:).

Oh, and F.E.A.R is another. But I'm actually playing that game. Haven't finished it yet, but I think I'm near the end. Intense game.

Ocarina of TIme. I played about halfway through and never picked back up. Pity.

Recently I have been leaving some games unfinished, and I think it's cause my attention span gets shorter with age.  I remember when I was younger and I played everything to death, now a days something needs to be really entertaining to hold me the whole way through.  I'm 21 by the way.  Let's see...

Resident Evil 4, Lost Odyssey

Okami, it just got boring.  But I'm not a big platformer fan, I was only drawn to it by it's unique style.  Also, Tomb Raider Legend, not enough Tombs.  Tomb Raider: Anniversary, no true current gen version, the 360 port was the PS2 game in hi res.  Despite the good gameplay, I was so bummed out by the failure to combine current gen visuals with improved classic Tomb Raider gameplay that i couldn't finish it.

Resident Evil 4

There are a bunch for me. I never finished Call of Duty 4, the online is just too addicting.
