Half-Life Antlion vs Starship Trooper warrior bug

Is it just me, or do the Antlion's from Half-Life 2 look way too similar to the warrior bugs from Starship troopers?

I suppose they do, but I think the Antlions look cooler. Starship Trooper's plot is very like that of a typical sci-fi videogame, so I don't think it's any wonder that videogames use references from that movie or book.

A bug is a bug. shoot a nuke down a bug hole, you got a lot of dead bugs.

Looks like the starship trooper copied the look of bugs.
