Has any one tried runescape after long time?

I have not played it in 3 or 4 years gave it try and dam it changed so much graphics much better now and with some actual voice acting now and loads more skills and content.

runescape has voice acting? It's a dawn of a new era.

Yeah, some interesting changes. Still not anywhere near some F2P MMOs out there.

I don't get where all the hate for RuneScape comes from. For what it is trying to do, it is an incredible game. 
 
1. It provides a lot of variety (especially in the quests) compared to other free MMO's. 
2. It has higher production values compared to other free MMO's. 
3. It's accessible to people who don't want to be downloading huge files. 
4. It's consistently updated graphically and has a very steady stream of new content. 
5. Customer support is incredible. 
6. The graphics are good for a browser based game. 
7. It has a solid community on the forums. The in-game community isn't quite as good. 

I have Pmod on it, no gear or items though, haven't really played in the last 5 -6 years.

I wasted so much time on it 6 years ago, never again will i play an mmorpg. 

It still exists?

I've not played it in a loooong time, and I've just checked the screenshots and it does look better. I'm sure the gameplay will still suck though.

I prefer to forget the junior high years and first couple years of high school that I wasted on that game.

Last time I played it was 2004.. Then WoW was released, and I honestly can't find ANY reason at all to ever look into it again. The only real advantage it has over other MMO's that I've played is that there is variety in the stuff you can do, but it's nowhere near games like EVE, LOTRO and WoW etc. Of course, these are pay-to-play, but I've yet to see a f2p mmo that can compare to those.

If you can get over the lame graphics (getting better) and the bias against people who play it, it's a very deep game. But I, like most of you, haven't played for years.

I remember playing Runescape for a day when i was about 12. Then i realised i'd wasted a day chopping trees down and thought, 'Fuck this.'

Runescape? Ehh, no thanks. I know people have mentioned this, but it's worth mentioning again: that game is for children. Me and a few friends were checking it out for lulz a few weeks ago and yes, the production value of the game has gotten better, but if you pay attention to the chat and who actually plays the game, it's mostly whiny kids.
