i think its a well-constructed hoax myself.

Look at the resolution of the video...fake. It's a fun fake, and it's well done, but it's a PC hack. A shame, because it would be a great story otherwise.

That post is old, the machine has been given away at least once more since then with the same complaints of it being haunted.

Why is my day haunted by these stories? They're like a new school take on Polybius. Also, this.

I don't really understand what's scary about it. The story isn't well written enough to be frightening. It's a well-PLANNED story though, and they went through a lot of work to "hack" the ROM but it's not SCARY.  Still, nice effort.

Spooky as hell. 
 
N64 era is probably the easiest to hack to make creepy.
