First off, my apologies if there is already a thread for this. (i couldn't be bothered to search for it.)

So, i got one for christmas after hating wii and subsequently nintendo for stupidly making an inferior console. It has yet to be determined if graphical capabilities are better than the other current gen systems, but once the next gen comes out, we'll probably have the same issues - and then a lack of third party support.

HOWEVER! Right now... to those who own one, what do u think of it? I'm pretty enamored with the miiverse. It's interesting how nintendo's strict moderation of the communities has birthed the first truly tolerable online gaming experience. It's probably there somewhere, but i have yet to encounter racist or sexist remarks. And ZombiU shows me a lot of gaming potential coming from the game pad. It essentially turns your tv into a big DS and i cant help but be excited about that. Internet is fast, and gone are nintendo friend codes. (my nintendo id is simseezy, friend me) It is also your new high tech remote control, which is dope.

So, before i feel guilty for actually enjoying this new experience, i was wondering, what do you guys/gals think about it? Are you enjoying it? Or do you think I'm just wearing my launch goggles too tight?

There's a group of people somewhere that are going to do their best to break Nintendo's moderating.

The fact that one of the main features of the miiverse is essentially drawing on a sketchpad, and i have yet to see a penis on there, is a pretty amazing feat in itself

I have seen four or five separate instances of foul language, though I assume Nintendo took care of them quickly. I actually find it a little hard to focus my attention on one screen and then the other in ZombiU. Maybe I just need more time to get used to it.

ZombiU was pretty fun for awhile, i don;t care for staring at the miiverse stuff since i already do the same sort of thing on the internet in general so it doesn't do anything for me.

The last story was a pretty decent game to play since i didn't own a wii, i sorta bought it 'just because' like my Vita and mainly for the games on the Wii and hoping anything good comes out for it which it will eventually, so i'm happy enough playing the select good wii games.

I only have The last story and Xeneblade so far though, anyone have a decent list of the best Wii games that are worth playing, other than the obvious Zelda and Rhythm Heaven im not so sure since ive never been into Nintendo stuff for the most part so nostalgia wont help me either for picking.

I love mine. It's very much a social console like the Wii, but I've been able to keep myself occupied for an absurd amount of time with single player Nintendoland, too. I like what I've played of Zombi U and I chose to wait to play Tekken Tag 2 on it, so I have that as well. I'd love to finish Mario, but I'm saving that for get-togethers where I have five people willing to play.

Some of the system's flaws are really bothersome, namely the slow loading between applications and the half-baked attempt at friend lists. Still, there's enough to it to keep me happy. I wish more was done with it, but that's exactly how I felt about the Wii, too. I've pretty much come to terms with the fact that Nintendo is doing their own thing, and as long as I can enjoy enough elements of their systems, I'm in. I buy two consoles per generation, though, so I couldn't see myself picking it as my only system for an entire generation. Do I regret the purchase, though? Not at all, thankfully.

I love my WiiU but the sole reason has to be ZombiU that game is so good. Nintendo needs to get their shit sorted because when I am done with this what will I do. Its just gonna sit there like my wii and gather dust
