How did you hear of Giantbomb?

I was curious to know how you came to find out about Giantbomb. This site is not your standard big faceless coorperate website and I was wondering how you heard of Giantbomb?

 
For me... I used to go to Gamespot during it's prime and when Jeff  ummm .. we'll say left the company :) I was curious to see what he would do. I eventually heard about his plans for making this site and then when I heard of Ryan, Vinny and Brad being on board I knew this would be a great site. When I heard it was a wiki type of site I was super excited because of the potential of thousands of people adding information about games because they have a love for it! 
 
Anyhow, I consider this site to be for people that have been gaming a long time or just love games in general with a very minimal amount of fanboyism. 
 
So, how did you hear about this site and what keeps you here?

From a 1UP podcast. Jeff and Brad were on there.

Through Ryan and Jeffs blogs. 
And the Arrow Pointing Down podcast.  
  
 
The content that these guy put out is keeping me here.  
The forums are just a place for me to insult people only to find out who the dumb ones on here are. 
 
 
It's easy to figure that out, those who get offended or cry about something said online (taking it seriously) are the dumb ones

Gamespot

Same as you dooops I used to go to gamespot all the way back when I was 14 back in 04. After the whole BS thing I just said fuck gamespot so many people had left and were leaving that it just did not feel like the same site. Instead of having your tim, rich, tor, ryan, jeff, brad and greg basically a bunch of friends who had been with each other for a while it just had this weird corperate vibe to it no personality just plain blah.
 
Which reminds me my personal favorite jeff moment is of course ......waiting for sagat

Saw Jeff on Bonus Round a few times over at Gametrailers. The Gamespot fiasco which led me to Arrow Pointing Down and how to build a bomb. Had never been to Gamespot so Giantbomb is my first exposure to these funny dudes. Been here from the start.

My brother told me this was the site by the guy who was in the Gamespot conspiracy, I didnt know his name at the time, but now I know all about the crew, and am glad I jumped over from Gamespot.

I can see a lot of the regulars getting "sick" of this thread and all but wait whos making you click and read this again?

A friend told me about the K&L fiasco, and I found that I loved Jeff and Ryan and how funny they were, and yet informative. So I followed them here from Arrow Pointing Down.

Heard it threw ear from a co-worker. I honestly recommend this site as often as I can to friends. I can't stress enough how happy I am to have found giant bomb, before I would use IGN which eh was bad, giant bomb is just pure awesomeness with legit gamers.

Meh I remember when I was a regular of the gamepro forums, it really is a simple matter of just ignoring the topics you are not interested in, mind you with the whole gs thing that went down i'm sure no one is more tired about talking or hearing about it or even been questioned about it then jeff. Remember this dooops?

Gamespot > Jeff and Ryan's blogs > Arrow Pointing Down > Giantbomb.

Seen Ryan on an interview and he mentioned the website.

Pre-launch, back when this was just a simple blog, somebody on Gamespot mentioned in their blog that this was the place that Jeff was now writing at, of course there was still no idea that Giant Bomb would become what it is.

Yup, someone at GS recommended this site.

Rebel FM -> GiantBomb -> Endurance Run -> Bombcast

When the whole implosion at 1up happened I went to a post-1up show podcast recommendation thread, and someone suggested the Bombcast. I was aware of Jeff over at Gamespot so it was cool. I listened to it for like a year before even coming to the site though.

Surprisingly I found you guys from RebelFM. 

A non-internet friend of mine told me that this was the best video game website out there, so I had to check it out. Just so happens she was correct.
