How Do You Afford All Your Games?

I am broke. SO I had to get a job. With so many great games just over the horizon, I needed a little extra income to keep me ticking over till the Student Loan kicks in.

So now I work in a factory

How do you fund your addiction?

I save up monies I get through various tasks and opportunities. It's not very frequent or successful, but i get a game every month or two.

I get money from working at my dads warehouse over the summer, and make like 500 bucks  a week, so I save up.... I also looks for deals at Gamestop in terms of selling and buying games.

I have NO IDEA...good question, I too am getting a job asap to fund all my wants and needs....MAINLY WANTS ;)

I work at a clothing store called Next. US peeps probably wouldn't have heard of it. Anyway 8 hours standard, normally extra 10 - 15 hours overtime if I'm not busy, at £5.84 an hour thats pretty alright.

I make money and I barely spend it.

I just got a job, so it should help me get a couple games.

I have a job, and still live at home with my parents like a loser, so yeah.

Right now I can't, but hopefully I can get a job on-campus pretty soon.

I haven't bought a game since GTAIV, but I usually only rent the games that I have immense interest in. I'm still buying Fallout 3, but the only game that I bought this year was GTA.

By having a a good paying job then a second part time job on top of that....

I usually can't so I don't buy many games. I only have like 5 for each console... and 1 for Xbox... (Halo 3 FTW!)

Mow lawns, and sell old games. Also rent to save. 

Since I'm in college and my parents jobs don't earn that much I get EMA and my parents give me a cut of it.

It's hard, but I use save up and I control and plan the money that I can spend. Also, the best thing is searching for deals. Their are some great community sites out their that are full of "cheap game" 's that post all of the great deals.

Uhh... well, generally I just stock up on games as birthday and christmas presents. Now I have a job and can buy them when I want, though I typically find that I wait for them to drop in price first. Before I had a job, if I had left over money from my birthday and Christmas, I'd save it throughout the year for the few  must-have games during the year.

i try to never sell my old games for trade in, but it helps if you HAVE to.  Make sure you keep up tabs on the release dates of the games you want.  Sometimes bending to the evil of preordering can make sure your hard earned monies are exclusively spent on that game you are looking for.  Know when that next paycheck will come with that extra pay for the time that game you want is coming out, and in my case don't spend it all on the night clubs for a hangover instead.

I used my student loan to buy all sorts.

I worked at the IT dept. for a museum for about 2 months.  Got £1000 from it.  It was temporary and was my first real experience at work.  Was fun.

Now currently looking for work.

1. Never spend money on anything besides video games and video game equiptment.

2. Be sparing with your money when you first start making it. this allows you build up a good amount of interest later on.

Pirate everything that's not a game.

Until 2006 I bought games with money I got from my family on certain occasions like Christmas and birthday but now I work as a programmer.

I use gamefly and I have a job.
