I need to know....I am kinda lost here..lol
How do you search and add friends?
In the upper right hand corner of the site, under the search box, says 'Users'. Click that then go to whatever alphabet that users name starts with, and find him. Then click add to network when you want to add him. Simple.
"Thats alot of hard work eh? I mean there is no search function?
"
Hard work? How? Go to a letter and find him, poor your it must be so much pain in the back. XD
No there isn't a user search function.
well you could do what sentry said and then go to every page and hit cntrl+f, type in the username you are looking for.. by doing that you can search for anyone.
still no solution to finding friends by typing username?
surely this must be an easy fix for the site?
" @rokkis said:besides it looked nasty. :x" Search should have been present the day they launched the site. Search, and the white-theme. "The white theme more-or-less was available at the beginning. They took it down because of issues that needed to be fixed, or something like that. "
This is an issue I've mentioned before a few times. There really does need to be a search function in the Users section of the site. Having to surf through almost 40 pages of names just to find one person can be simplified. I had put it in the Giant Bomb Suggestions thread...I think. I'm pretty sure I did. Nonetheless, I'm still hoping they get around to this.
workaround,
compose a mail, when you enter the user you want to send to, it autofills, select correct user, send mail. go to sent mail and click on username. add friend.
this autofill object in the mail area surely could be used as a separate search friend function?
" If you know the username why not just got to http://www.giantbomb.com/profile/InsertName/ "I was about to post that to, on each profile page it says "add as friend", chances are if your adding someone its because of a message they sent you or a post on the forum so the link to there profile is there. They will be situations where a search function is better but its by no means a broken system.
