Hundreds. I don't feel bad about not finishing games. The payoff in 9/10 cases isn't "seeing the story through" or whatever. Most game stories are shit. The games with good stories or good drive are the ones I'm most likely to finish. Even games I love to the moon and back stay unfinished. Vanquish is my game of the past 3 years, and I haven't finished it, and that's not a particularly long game either. I just don't feel the need to finish it. I don't mind starting it over again and again. I guess maybe I'm weird like that.
Also I kinda feel like finishing a game ends its relevance in my collection. I like looking through my collection and seeing all these "open" games; They're still games I could conceive of playing, whereas the ones I've finished I don't feel quite so drawn to booting up again. It's almost a defensive measure; "This game is too good to finish, because then it'll be 'dead' to me".
