Yeah I don't know. I'm going to start collecting these little love notes I get into a blog or something.

Depends. What do people define as "hardcore" or "serious"?
There are some who are really passionate about one developer, genre, series, or so on, and try to get every secret in those games, know them back to front, but don't know anything outside of that niche. Then there are those who have 100+ games on one console, but only remember a few things about them offhand or know a handful of things about them. Different gamers reflect their love in different ways.
