I discovered a weird thing in a game disc...

I was thinking I should do some writing on the wiki and decided to look up one of my old obscure games from the past. I basically covered my eyes and picked one at random and it happened to be an old windows 95 game called Tigershark.

I booted up the game and played around with it for a while to have something to write in the wiki, and then i decided to look inside the actual disc.

I found there was a hidden folder in there called GALLERY, I opened it and found 50 seemingly random pictures of what looks like families being on vacation. The last picture of them all was some weird asian guy with a flashy background.

I felt like I just had to let it out there.

I imagine its the developers own pictures? At least hopefully. I hope its not random creeper photos

Years ago. Win98 era. I got a loan of a turn based civilisation/alpha centauria type game. Called Deadlock. A Great game i play ieven to this day....it still the same loaned copy from my friend.

My dad explored the disc and found this awsome song. Sing it every so often.

Are you sure none of those photos are used in the actual game? Like some sort of bizarre reality thing? Don't know anything about it myself.

Other than that possibility, I guess this is just some family album that got accidentally dumped onto the master disc. Pretty funny!

This is hysterical and truly a great find.

I hope a mod comes in here and moves this thread over to the Tigershark forum though that way it is always tied to the Wiki page (and you should definitely make note of this somewhere on the page itself).

@RobertOrri: I can't say I'm a 100% certain, but I don't remember seeing them when I was a kid, and I think I played through the whole thing then, and there's nothing hinting about any reality business when I start it up right now.

Also, I have a hard time placing pictures of cats and babies in a game where you play as a bomber submarine shooting missiles at targets :).

Oh and whats with the asian, ninja, sensei, sword-in-the-background guy?! The developers (n-space) are americans for the record.

Well that's... interesting.

They're probably just used in the game somewhere. Photos of some dude's family or something, on a desk/locker/whatever.
 
Also you'll probably need one other person with a Tigershark disc to confirm this.

@gladspooky: You're totally right, as for now you only have my word that these pictures were on the disc and, I'm telling you, having played the game, the chance of them being used in the game is slim.

I approve of this thread.

Back in the day games had crazy stuff hidden on the disc/  I remember stuff you could find on Psx Silent Hill with pc and some program to extract images/  We need more dtuff like that today

Also, I played through about half of the game just now, and used a cheat to watch all the FMV cinematics in the game, and didn't see any sign of neither of the pictures.
