Okay then i want an RPG. i like both jRPGs and wRPGs
The best western RPGs to come out recently are Mass Effect, Fallout 3, Oblivion, and the Witcher. Well, I'm sure I'm missing a few, but any of those would be a solid choice.
Maybe you should pick up older titles. I haven't tried it but lost odyssey for the 360 is only 20 bucks and i don't know how much tales of vesperia is but that was released a while ago.
What haven't you played recently? Good Story? With $60 buy Mass Effect, and Lost Odyssey. If both of those are only 20, pick up the Orange Box as well and play through HL2 and the episodes.

I'd mostly agree, but stay away from Tales of Symphonia dawn of the new world. Do yourself a favor and just buy the original Gamecube Tales of Symphonia. Granted, I haven't played much of it, but its just not as good as the Gamecube game, which is, imo, one of the 5 best cube games. I wouldn't necessairily recommend Super Paper Mario or Eternal Sonata either.
Check out Valkyria Chronicles on the PS3, too. If you missed Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, that is a great game. The story is good, and the characterization top notch. If you've got a PS2 or backward compatible PS3, I recommend Dragon Quest 8: Journey of the Cursed King as well as Persona 3 FES. And (as always) I'm pimping Dragon Quest 5 for the DS.
