so i play a lot of bad company 2, and i hate when I'm revived on defense. on offense not so much because of the tickets coming back, but still dislike it. I feel like i would be better off just respawning with a fresh new kit instead of a used one in the middle of a battle. i would like it a lot more if it i was revived and it took away the death i got but it doesn't. i just don't any point to being revived.

i did play as a medic with the defib and i understand why medics do it, cause they get mad points, but for everyone else it just seems like an inconvience

is there any other reason to be revived? do you guys like to be revived?

Well, like you said, being revived refunds tickets that are important for the team. Not only that, but when you get revived it's a given that there's at least one dude nearby who you can partner up with and hopefully waste the fools that wasted you. Out of curiosity, which class do you play?

And yes. Mad points.

Revives win games, hands down. A medic can single-handedly stop an entire enemy advance by keeping just a few defenders alive. I know it sucks to be rezzed when your kit is depleted, but you will do more good firing your pistol and trying to find ammo then you will by wasting 20+ seconds on rezzing/running. That's when you grab another kit off a dead enemy and keep firing.

BC2 defense is all about protracting the engagement. You want to make the foes pay for every inch of ground. By not rezzing, you're essentially giving them a free step forward.

On offensive it preserves the ticket counter and keeps people in the fight longer so you can keep the pressure on enemy positions.

On defense it can be the difference between a position being over run and holding as you don't have to wait for support from re spawning teammates.

What I don't like is when someone doesn't secure the area before they revive you meaning you pop back up and are immediately gunned down again along with the medic.

hello friend....you can sometimes help your team by reviving fallen soldiers and thus keeping a strong front line....but only the really good medics know how to do this.

a lot of the time a medic wont even clear the area before reviving...it always ends in bloodshed and unnecessary deaths :(

You start where you were, instead of somewhere back near a spawnpoint.
You can help take back that area from the enemy attack that's pressuring your team, even with half a magazine you can still shoot that and switch over to your pistol and kill 1-2enemies.
So yes, getting revived is a big plus.

Reviving=small break of possible success for the team.

The game is about the team, not purely the individual.
