Wow that must suck. I don't know what costs weird amount of points like that.
I have 30 Microsoft points
Just hold onto the points. You already bought one thing at a weird point value, it may happen again. If you spend 30 points now on something you don't want you may end up kicking yourself in 8 months because you're 20 points away from buying something you do want. Don't waste them on a gamerpic or something that you probably won't even use.
Yeah I too have an unusual ammount of points left, like 60 or something. However the worst thing is having 31,384 Gamer score points. FUCKING FIFA 09!
Just don't let it get to you, man. If you let it bother you, it's going to resort to you buying something you don't want just to make sure you've spent them all.
This is why Microsoft needs to stop fooling around and remove Microsoft Points from Xbox Live. I think the only items you can purchase for 30 points is gamerpics.
I have 50 points left and I have no idea what to do with them. I could buy that stupid Halo ring from the avatar marketplace, but you can barely see that fucking thing.
microsoft and their left over points. i have like 120 or something like that. there is nothing to good to buy with those points. they have been there for a very long time now. i think microsoft should either remove the points and make them real money or make the points equal to money.
" This is why Microsoft needs to stop fooling around and remove Microsoft Points from Xbox Live. I think the only items you can purchase for 30 points is gamerpics. "Uhh, no. That would be like an automatic price increase on everything in the store. 1600 pts nominally equals $20 but can always be had cheaper, sometimes much cheaper. They don't often sell cash for cheaper than face value.
" How does that even happen? "I think I have like 3 or 7 points left. Something weird like that.
I hate having odd numbered point currency. Its not a odd number, but right now I have 1680 points jsut sitting on ym console now. I jsut havent found anything useful to buy. It used to be like 1800 something, but I bought a Han Solo Outfit that I liked for my avatar. Im thinking fo buying that Dragon Age tshirt thats the deal of the week. The red one with the white dragon logo on the side of it. Damn, im mad at myself. I went a whole year or so of not buying anything for that stupid thing, now I broke down and did buy something for it.
" If I remember correctly, Dead Rising and Hitman: Blood Money have single gamerpics for 20 points. "Thank you! I've been stuck with 20 points for a while.
" @Afroman269 said:I keep asking myself that constantly...." I have 56 I think left over. I hate it very much. "How did you manage that? 0_o "
There are some decent Indy games out there you might be able to get for 30 points?
I don't know, but I freaking HATE that items cost points on XBL and Wii. If I want to buy something on PSN, it costs what it costs.
" @ISuperGamerI said:So you're willing to pay full price 99% of the time and have a weird number of MS Points left over just cause 1% of the time you might buy the points for cheaper?" "no dont remove them, but make them more like others so you can just direct buy things, and as well NEVER ever have a weird point item, do it in 300-400-500...ect dont do the stupid 480, 360 or whatever things they've done before.
1% of the time? I have bought every single MS point I've ever spent for less than face value. MOST of the points I've purchased have been for 75 cents on the dollar at one of Target's semiannual 1600 points for $15 sales. Add in the free (Gears of War Best Buy preorder) or $10 (multiple promotions from ToysRUS, Circuit City, and Best Buy over the years) 1600 point cards that I've purchased and I'm averaging about $12 for every 1600 point card I've purchased. I've saved FAR more from the points system than I will ever lose even if I never buy anything else and lose whatever sub 400 point odd number I may have leftover. The points are ALWAYS cheaper than face value somewhere. The only people losing money are people that buy points at face value directly from MS. Right now 1600 points on amazon cost $16.54. Keep an eye out at cheapassgamer.com for other recurring points deals." @Jasonofindy said:

EDIT:removed some frustration induced snarkiness that in hindsight sounded harsher than intended.
