Deciding on what I want to get, I love RPG's (good story ones mainly.) FPS games, (singleplayer mainly.) JRPG and WRPG. horror for the most part and many others, two I do not like or unsure of are sports games. (despise them.) but I have yet to try out a racing game.
Also, with my gamestop card offers, I can get a buy two get one free deal so it being used and around 35 bucks for two games is the best bet for me. (I personally like trying to get the best deal possible when it comes to deals like these.)
I need a list of sugguestions. I can list my huge backlog of games if asked. I got a PS2, 360, and a DS, (I need to get a PS3 actually. the more I think about it.) So sugguestions for those three systems would be badass please.
Edit, I also get 10% off games I buy used there, so please keep that in mind as well please.
I have 35 bucks and a trip to gamestop tomorrow, Need help...
If you don't buy it I will cut you.
How about:
Fable 2 (xbox 360)
Lost Odyssey (xbox 360) ~ maybe hard to find
Bioshock (xbox 360)
Dead Space (xbox 360)
Alan Wake (xbox 360)
Dragon Quest IX (DS)
You seem to like all type of games so it would be hard to recommend a few but these are just some of the games I would get if I didn't already own them.
Oblivion, if you haven't played it. If you want a good story RPG, on the other hand, try out anything done by Bioware (except maybe DA2). If you want to try a racing game, Burnout Paradise.
I own all those except dragon quest. (How is that game actually?)How about: Fable 2 (xbox 360) Lost Odyssey (xbox 360) ~ maybe hard to find Bioshock (xbox 360) Dead Space (xbox 360) Alan Wake (xbox 360) Dragon Quest IX (DS) You seem to like all type of games so it would be hard to recommend a few but these are just some of the games I would get if I didn't already own them.

EDF 2017, Oblivion and DLC, Enslaved, Fable 2, Far cry 2, Fear series, FF13, gears of war 1, Ghostbusters! ghost recon advanced war figher 1, GTA4 and DLC disk, halo wars, (will not buy halo 3 or the shit that is reach.) Homefront, L4D series, Lost Odyssey, ultimate alliance 1, ME1 and 2, Nier (love it!) Ninja gaiden 2, The orange box for 360, Portal 2, Prey, Prototype, RDR, Red faction geurilla, RE5, The sabatour, saints row series, shadowrun, soul caliber 4, Tales of vesparia, and finally, Turok, (oh, and I have L.A noire as well. love it.) (Edit, whoops, forgot the fallout games in there as well and mafia 2!)
DS games, Wariowar DIY, Okamiden, Pokemon diamond and black, strange journey, The world ends with you, Kingdom hearts days 300 something something something. (you guys know what I mean.) super scribblenauts, Chrono trigger (love it.) mario and luigi bowsers inside story, GTA chinatown wars, Lunar knights, legend of zelda phantom hourglass, harvest moon, sunshine islands I believe, FF3 and FF4, castlevania games two of them, Advance wars day of ruins and dual strike, age of empires, disgaea DS, and finally golden sun DS.
Just my 360 and DS collections so far, I can list my PS2 ones, but it WILL take while longer for me to list.
If you never played Chrono Trigger on the SNES, then get it for the DS!
for the PS2, I recommend:
Shadow Hearts (and its sequel Shadow Hearts: Covenant) - however, both of these are pretty rare; I doubt you'll find them at GS.
360:
you say you don't like sports game, but you do like sports game- check out Fight Night Champion, which features an engrossing story mode - it might be a good way to get into boxing games of the sports genre at least.
Lost Odyssey
Nier
Record of Agarest War (will take you at least 100 hours to finish)
@Jay444111: I spent 85 hours playing that game and I really never got bored. There are a lot of cool side quests and many items to collect. This is a jrpg where you actually want to fight enemies to level up. The cool thing about this game is that you can see your enemies on the field before you go into battle, so if your overpowered some enemies will run away from you but others will charge you if your weak. This is one of the best jrpgs I've ever played and it's crazy that they could fit it into that small ds cartridge.Nice, hows the story though? Just curious on that. Other than that small question, it feels like a buyer so far to me.
Don't be an idiot, don't buy games from Gamestop ... there are way better deals at other shops (Amazon etc.)
On the other hand, aren't you the guy that created that stupid Kojima vs King thread? Then maybe Gamestop is your place.
@ChristianCastillo said:I enjoyed the story, it had its lighthearted parts but also its dark moments. I bought the game the day of release and beat it back then so I don't remember much but you should look up some reviews. One thing you should know though is that your characters really don't have a personality since you create them. They will never speak to you or be of any significance in the story except for your main character. This didn't detract anything from the story to me but for some people this could be a problem.@Jay444111: I spent 85 hours playing that game and I really never got bored. Some people have recommended picking up Lost Odyssey for the 360. I agree with that, but I actually ended up enjoying Blue Dragon far more than Lost Odyssey personally. I highly recommend grabbing both if you like JRPGs, Blue Dragon is definitely my favorite RPG on the system currently. Should be able to find both at Gamestop and have money left over.
Since you didn't list what games you have, I'm going to go ahead and assume you don't have any. Given that, what you are going to do tomorrow is walk right in there and pick up a used copy of Mass Effect and a new copy of Mass Effect 2, and you are going to have the most epic time ever for the next month or two.

999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors.yoda style?

Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Final Fantasy Tactics A2, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Pokemon Ranger, Warioware Touched and The World Ends with you.
On Friday, I bought Rachet and Clank: A Crack in Time for $15. Amazing game. Fun-ass weekend. Loads and loads of content, absolutely buttery-smooth platforming controls, and not to mention it is the best looking game I have ever seen running constantly at 60fps. Amazing, amazing game. Can't recommend it enough, especially for the price.
Oblivion, if you haven't played it. If you want a good story RPG, on the other hand, try out anything done by Bioware (except maybe DA2). If you want to try a racing game, Burnout Paradise. That's funny because I just finished Dragon Age 2 last night and I thought the story was well done. Though I could see that changing depending on how you played the game... I can't even imagine where it would've gone if I made some key choices differently.
Buy games new. On Amazon.Do they have buy 2 get one free on used games? No, then kindly just be quite then, I love gamestop where I live at, it is kickass and they don't deserve the shit they take from people such as you.

Shit, you have all of the games worth buying already. Do you have a Wii or PS3?No actually, I got a gamecube, but because my TV is stupid, I do not have yellow composites on my tv, (fuck you HD tv's!) But I also have a PS2 that has a composite cable for my TV. I still love playing that thing.
@Jay444111 said:Thank you, Weirdly enough, the Advance wars dual strike one was the hardest to find out of all of them. Took me a good while to actually hunt the dang thing down at a store and get it. (days of ruin though was for like, 5 or 10 bucks so that was totally worth it.) But I will definitly check out those games.DS games, Wariowar DIY, Okamiden, Pokemon diamond and black, strange journey, The world ends with you, Kingdom hearts days 300 something something something. @Jay444111: oops sorry! ill get rid of that postIt's cool man, I love that game, I play it every once in a while just because of how much I just love the damn thing. Great videogame that is truly amazing.
Oh, and does anyone know about the xenosaga series? Any good? (plus, do they use blue disks, I ask because my PS2 model doesn't like them.
Nier. It's on 360, just buy it. Don't mind the jank, the game is brilliant.

spend it on Amazon instead.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor or Strange Journey, Knights in the Nightmare, or Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.
Edit: Just saw you have Bowser's Inside Story already. >_<;
*Self Face palm on omega levels.* I own Shadow of the colossus as well, (not Ico unfortunatly, but, even then, it is a blue disk game those can't play on newer ps2's.)
I think I am going to restart this topic in the off topic boards with a full list of games that I own and what I feel about them. I'll be back, on that board, might make the mods slightly angry about clutter, so I invite them to delete this topic if they so wish, I understand completely on why they would want to if I was to put it on there.
(... it is a blue disk game those can't play on newer ps2's.)Since when? I play a bunch of blue disk games on my brand new ps2
