Do you?
I thought it would be interesting to see what types of books we all read. Right now I'm reading The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie - very good - very medieval kind of stuff with a bit of magic and fantasy thrown in. Funny stuff.
I play games and I read books
I read all sorts of stuff. Currently I am reading The Legend of Drizzt series by R.A.Salvatore which is alright. My favorite single book of all time is Magician by Raymond E Feist and favorite series would have to be The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan so I am a bit of a fantasy geek I guess. But I do like a whole range of other books like historys and biographies, horror, cime, thriller. Pretty much most types really.
I'm currently reading The Damnation Game by Clive Barker.
I read everything from Stephen Ambrose to H.P. Lovecraft [they're a bit hard to find around my town]. Magazines that I read range from Architectural Record to EGM.
"Guild_Master said:I never get tired of a mans dream to fight against control, go Winston"Currently re-reading 1984 by George Orwell
"
Ooh, I should do that as well."
"Im reading the bible now, its going to take me about a year."Spoiler : Jesus dies.
I've been slacking on the reading lately, (too much FFTA2) but I'm currently reading the Biography of Dr. Dre.
Yes, not only am I a fanatical gamer, but an aspiring writer as well. I'm currently in the beginning stages of my own novel. Needless to say, I read a fair bit too. Yeah, my hobby list keeps me a little too busy.
I'm currently working my way through The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. I would highly, highly recommend them. Humor, action, a very unique take on the use of magic and magical creatures, a terrific writing style, and more depth than you'd give it credit for on first glance. There's ten of them out so far and they only keep getting better as they go along. Amazing stuff.
I love the dresden files, stuff by R.A. salvatore, and Tom clancy stuff
if anyone gets the chance read the dresden files the first book is called strom front
I'm reading a few things right now: A biography about John Coltrane, Carl Sagan's "Contact," some short stories from Edgar Allan Poe, and I'm also reading a book about Art and Democracy by David Hickey called "Air Guitar." It's awesome.
"what are clarksons books like? im not really into his tv personaThe one I read was funny, but if you don't like his TV persona you probably won't like it.
"
I've just finished The Wasp Factory by Iain Banks for the second time.
i dont like reading, but whenever i stumble onto a book that i like its usually a psychological thriller. i used to be into harry potter and the like, but i gave up since it felt like rowling would drag the story along forever.
anyone know what shes working on now?
