I really miss GB's more edited E3 content. Truly, some of their best stuff

Yep, I miss all the show floor coverage. Like even the old TGS videos I go back to occasionally.

I miss the "more edited" stuff in general, it's still my favourite Giant Bomb content next to podcasts, but I understand why it's gone.

It's not the same thing, but from last year's E3:

With additional staff it might be easier to plan this out, but honestly Giant Bomb has already shown you the two interesting parts about E3 already. Unless something about E3, like a weird public area with a Facebook booth, changes then there's no reason the repeat the same video again.

@finaldasa: Maybe not the same content but a video showcasing some other elements filmed and edited similarly would be cool. A lot of GB content has basically turned into a freewheeling radio chat show, which is cool, but seeing well edited content once in a while is a great change of pace.

@humanity: Agreed, I don't know if E3 is the place to get that from though. Already a lot of work goes into that conference and it's no easy task to run that many live shows and still have a cameraman out in the field.

@finaldasa: I do absolutely LOVE their couch show with industry people getting a little loose from time to time. My favorite type of free form games writing are not the opinion pieces or musings on the ethics of videogame XYZ, but rather interviews or pieces that tell the real life stories of behind the scenes development - that stuff is fascinating. There was an amazing piece on Vice recently about the origins of Halo where the makers of all 4 games basically gave their candid account of the development process. The couch during E3 is that but in real time - as well as lots of goofy fun. The langzone is real.

While I do feel like the e3 couch as gotten less good over the past 2-3 years I still really enjoy it. The "porn office" was probably the last great e3 "couch" time.
