Starcraft 2.

I'd say StarCraft II, but if I can't go online that would get hella boring after a while. I'd probably go with Civilization V or something.

In reality, I'd just shoot myself.

Saints Row 2

Can't imagine being stuck with just one game. I would rather just skip it and play life.

Final Fantasy 9, I still love that game or DA: O or Civ V

All the Mass Effect games. If that doesn't fit the question, then Skyrim with all its DLC and mods.

Wow. No online? Pretty much impossible for me. I'd have answered a MOBA, either DotA2 or HoN. Which would suck when DotA3/ HoN2 comes out and there is noone to play with...

However if it has to be singleplayer I have to pick Neverwinter Nights which is pretty much the only single player game I still boot up occasionally. This is assuming I am allowed to download mods =P If I was desperate I would start making my own stories to play!

Fallout 2. No question.

Gotta go with Legenda of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES). Feels like I find something new every playthrough.

Some sort of Sim/Strategy game. Civ V is a good candidate.

Either Morrowind or Oblivion, with all the mods.

Or SimCity 2000: Special Edition. Yeah!

Hmm, this is a tough one. I can't answer this question. Sorry.

All the people saying wow and starcraft, have fun playing that offline. I would probably chose minecraft, only game I can think of that there would always be something to do.

I have been playing Dwarf Fortress lately, and that would be a perfect game for something like this. You can create different worlds to explore, explore them in different ways, and everything is random. You could even make artificial limitations if you get too good, bringing only a few things when you embark, etc.

Probably Civ 5, maybe Pokemon White.

Chess against a good AI routine I guess.

Any total war game. Basically can play it as a civ game if I'm not in the mood for the glorious massive battles

Dwarf Fortress

Becoming the master of that game in all situations would take the biggest time investment in my opinion. If I documented what happened in my games in the same style as boatmurdered, I would have the most amazing stories to tell.

Minecraft, Civilization, Football Manager or Mount & Blade: Warband. All are games which either never end or which can be replayed forever. If I have to choose one, right now I think it would be... uh... dammit, I can't make this choice. I'm going back to work.
