Ok, so I've been searching for some good Gaming Headphones for my Xbox 360 and Computer.

I've looked at the Turtle Beach Ear Force X4's and they seem great for the Xbox, but I've seen a few headphones that work both on the Xbox and my Mac.
Keep in mind that I'd like to be able to use them potentially for podcasting, and therefore it would probably be smart to get a seperate set for the PC and the 360.

So, I need a good gaming headset for the Xbox.

And a decent headset for my Mac with a realy good mic.

Any suggestions?

Sennheiser makes a mean headset.

http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-PC-350-Gaming-Headset/dp/B0012XFDWO/

These are the ones I have. The audio and microphone are both stellar quality in my experience. I use them strictly on a PC. But I assume they would work just as well on a Mac.

Always found gaming headsets to be silly. Once the headphones go (if they are cheap) or the mic (same thing) you have a half useful item. Go with quality professional calibur headphones; Sennheiser HD555s are great (have had mine for a year now). Get a clip on microphone that you can attach to the cable. Don't know what inputs the 360 has but the PS3 worked with my Logitech USB to 3.5mm adapter for headphones and microphone so I used an earbud and wired mic til I got my bluetooth headset. I wouldn't go with any of those gaming brands and Logitech makes "cheap" stuff for headsets go quality like Sennheiser or Audio Technica's or something like it.

If you are set on a headset and want something relatively inexpensive; http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-PC151-Headset-Cancelling-Control/dp/B000NOR89Y/ref=pd_cp_e_2 is a great headset and I used it for years until I got raged and smashed it; lasted like 3 years until my nerd rage incident (fucking Warlocks during WoW Arenas). Prior to that had Plantronics DSP500s which eventually broke from regular use.

If you are looking for good budget headset with some noticeable bass and decent voice quality go for the Creative Fatal1ty Pro Series Headset. Ive dropped these pleanty of times and they have yet to break on me, the only problem is the wire likes to tangle in on itself but apart from that they are the best ive ever owned. These are only forpc and wont fit in your xbox controller unless you know of some special convertor. Here is a link to them for reference, this site is based in the UK.

I'm thinking of getting the Sennheiser 555's and just a clip on mic. That way I can use them with PC and Xbox.

I would like to know as well.  I use a Macbook and a PS3 and an iPhone.  I would like to use these headphones with AT LEAST my PS3 and Macbook, and due to work...I need some decent quality stuff.  It would be a plus if it came with a mic due to a lot of Skype.

I'm not looking to pay a lot though.  Any help?

@Subject2Change: What? Why? They work great for me. Besides the volume wheel I give it a 4 out of 5. Because They fit very comfortably around your ears with no pain after a long ass time.

Because for the price you can get better and those reviews are horrendous, a lot of them say after 1 hour they begin to feel uncomfortable... Logitech make good mice, that's it.

Headphones for gaming? That's crazy. Why do you want all those bleeps & blips & crashes & explosions so close to you ears? Headphones for games = Headaches.  Get a cheap set of PC speakers for games, get a good pair of headphones for music, use them for games if you must, but I wouldn't.  I'd recommend Grados.

I would recommend NOT buying anything that says gaming headphones in the name.
