iPhone 3g Replacement Chargers?

Anyone else just get a text saying that if they bought the first Iphone 3g's they need to exchange there adapter cause it can cause electrical shock? Why is apple trying to KILL ME?!

Apparently licking the charger will fix it, saves you sending off for a new one.
