Is St.Vincent really a guest on GB?

the premium show with abby is obviously what im referencing to but i havent watched the episodes fully.

I would normally think this is a troll thread but after all these fourthline topics lately I’m willing to believe this is a genuine question so at the risk of making a fool of myself:

No St. Vincent is not actually a guest on the show. The premise of the show is to ultimately get St. Vincent on as a guest.

I have no idea who the fuck St. Vincent is. I've seen that name pop up in a few titles but I thought it was referring to Vinny.

@justin258: St.Vincent is a musician. She's quite good! She apparently also plays Fortnite, which is the gimmick of Abby's premium series.

Fortnite with St. Vincent is to St. Vincent what Kingdom Heartache was to Kingdom Hearts. If you’re actually watching to see the latter, then, well, I’m sorry.

If you decide to watch, the joke gets stale very, very quickly.

Is it really just a Fortnite stream with St. Vincent being the loose thread that's referenced at the beginning and end? Or is the whole thing focused on the life and times of St. Vinny?

St Vincent does love New York, so hopefully Abby makes it very clear that she's from the city and looking for a digital witness to grill her over battle-royale crimes. You know, like a cruel cheerleader on krokodil.

maan getting called a troll here on the forums for asking a question is a bummer. I like st.vincent a lot after her prince tribute, she has such a cool style.

I'd have to imagine you were called a troll because it should be obvious to anyone who's watched the intro to any of those videos that St. Vincent has not actually been a guest.

It's the "The McElroy Brothers will be in Trolls 2" of GB video content. It's a called shot rather than an outright promise.

As someone who is very much not on the cutting edge of musical trends, I'm more surprised that I know who St. Vincent is given how many replies to this are surprised that she's a real person.

@chikenxxfries: for the record I never called you a troll I just seriously considered the possibility, as stated above, the actual intent of the videos is repeated and explained in the beginning of every single one of them.

Having to watch a video is not a great solution to the problem of trying to figure out whether or not the title is clickbaiting you into watching it.

One might even accuse the video series itself of being more of a troll (like Kingdom Heartache) than asking a question about it.

I have no idea about pop culture, but I did see the 'Eventually'.

Giant Bomb has a ton of great content so my only suggestion is that in the future I would recommend you to check the videos firsthand without fear of it being clickbait. A lot of them are actually pretty fun to watch and worth checking out.

After looking her up I dont really get it, a pop star that appeals to the kids who play fortnite? Idk.

I'd say she's probably most popular around the 20-40 yo crowd that kinda wants to look past the most mainstream artists, but still wants to enjoy music with catchy hooks or riffs. Music that's sweet on the ear but leaves some room for experimentation. Most listeners probably have Janelle Monae, Kero Kero Bonito and Carly Rae Jepsen on their playlists too. That's pretty much where i find myself tbh.

@shindig: Well I mean.. she can probably work on her music from home. I assume that after several succesful albums she isn't living in a one bedroom apartment with two roommates.
