Japanese/Anime subscription boxes

Hey Duders. Figured this would be as good of a place as any to ask for advice/reviews. My 12 year old daughter is in to anime, manga, and general Japanese otaku culture. We were thinking of getting her a subscription box such as Loot Anime or Akibento. Does anyone have experience with any of these companies? We were probably only going to do a single box, or at most 3 months, if that matters. Thanks.

You know you daughter best, but if she likes Japanese culture but maybe a bit more than anime itself - I would look for a Kawaii subscription box. Kawaii as you might know is 'the quality of being cute,' so the items are cute Japanese things.

Just a word of warning if you subscribe to some anime boxes, sometimes...sometimes a lot...you get skimpily clad vinyl figures or stickers of busty women. Most Japan subscription box are not like that, but look closely at the photos of what is in the sample boxes. The one called Otaku Box is without a doubt geared for people 18+ ecchi

I used to subscribe to Loot Box, they are at least a known quantity...but I found their stuff generic. That same for Akibento, just a little broad for my taste.
