I did a search for this and couldn't find anything so I apologize in advance if this has already been posted. I clicked on IGN's review for Spore and found that it was written by Jason Ocampo, who wrote for GS. Anyone know how long he's been at IGN for? This one was totally news to me.
Jason Ocampo now working at IGN?
"for a while now.I really respect Ocampo's work and his style of reviewing, he's got elegant writing. But that man as a really fucking annoying voice that comes out from the nose. It's a very personnal opinion but when he talks, i'd rather hear fingers on a chalkboard.
he is leading pc editor.
you can hear him on ign's pc podcast"
Jason Ocampo is awesome, and yes, he has been working at IGN for a while now.
They announced his taking of the Editor-in-Chief position for IGN PC on GameScoop, which I will admit I was like O_O when I heard it.
But I suppose it's turned out alright.
"Rowr said:ahah yeh i kind of agree. Very nasally. Classic PC nerd."for a while now.I really respect Ocampo's work and his style of reviewing, he's got elegant writing. I don't mind his voice much. I think the quality of his voice in his reviews have come a long ways since his early days at GS. Compared to his early days, when his reviews sounded unrehearsed, awkward and jumbled together, his most recent Spore review on IGN sounded pretty smooth and professional.
Jason Ocampo was an amazing PC editor for Gamespot, he did such a good job in keeping us all up to date and his passion for the platform was a great thing to see when so many reviewers seem to prefer console gaming. Sorry to the Staff at GiantBomb but so far not much PC talk on their podcasts and news articles and this makes me sad because as a PC gamer i want to hear more about my chosen platform!
everyone left gamespot. obviously there's something going on there which is bad.
the only person still there is kevin vanord and aaron tomas.
coincidently neither a particularly good reviewers
Jason Ocampo is a great review and he''ll bea great edition to IGN, plus he's one of the few gamecritics who did a right review on Crysis.
