Glenn Rubenstein is a videogame editor among other things (and host of SHut Up And Play LAN party on TWiT on sunday nights) and he and Jeff used to be in a band/rap group together and work together and stuff. They've just been shooting the shit with each other and Brian and others all night, while playing random games. It isn't archived, but it might actually show up on the ustream or justin.tv archives somewhere. If we find it there, I'm sure someone (or myself) will post it here so you can watch it all. :)

It was pretty fun. Some good questions to jeff. Some food talk. Some taco bell. Some stuff about grandma's cooter juice...

TWiT (Network; This Week in Tech) is (If you've heard of Leo Laporte, you'll know), but the show (Shut up and play) is the aftershow to Game On!, a fast paced show about video games which is new so it hasn't really gained that large of an audience

TWiT network is run by Leo Laport (of Tech TV and KFI fame). Built from scratch and filled with a lot of great tech/internet people, including a lot from the old Tech TV days. Go search around the twit.tv show - they have tons of content and it's all produced and broadcast live on the stream Tech show, mac show, google show, android show, ipad show, science show, crazy latenight weirdness show (NSFW is the name of it), security show, radio tech/ham radio guys show, home theater show, law show, biotech show, windows show, photography show. And I'm missing a lot of others. Oh, a daily news show (TNT).

And then this - Game On is the new weekly game show. They started it out as "At The Controls" and it was dudes around a table talking about games. After a couple dozen trial shows, they changed the format and are trying a more "weekly game news show" ala X-Play. Not really my thing, but I support the people behind it and more gaming stuff is good gaming stuff, in my mind.

After the game show, they do a LAN party. Different game every weekend. This is all new, though. They've only done three or four episodes of the two gaming shows, so far.

As for how bit the network is? It's pretty huge. TWiT has millions in its audience and some of its bigger shows have between 500k and 1-million viewers.

I've done a fair deal of consulting for media people looking to get into the whole online broadcasting thing, so I've followed TWiT for years. It's a really cool story how they built themselves up.

That was my first time playing TrackMania.. horribly addictive. I think I was in for 4-5 hours straight.

It's a tech podcast site essentially put together by Zdtv/Tech Tv alums if that means anything to you guys. As for if it's a big deal, they recently moved into their 1.5 million dollar studio and do around 30 original pod/video casts per week.
