I've got a job that has a worryingly large amount of down time and lately I've completely exhausted all of my options for news and tomfoolery. I'm so very desperate for distraction I want to try out some mobile games but, well, you've probably seen the app store.
Jeff mentions his new favorite mobile game every once in awhile, does anyone know what those were recently? Or have any suggestions? I don't mind buy-to-play, either.
Jeff's favorite mobile games, mentioned on bombcast?
WWE Supercard
Don't buy WWE Supercard
Stop it, Dan! >:(
Tap Tycoon and Adventure Capitalist are the ones he mentions the most.
Have you played Tap Titans? That's the one idle/ incremental game that's kept my attention for more than a week.
Just started playing Abyssrium and I'm digging it. It's pretty mellow. It chews up my battery for whatever reason though.
Drew mentioned Hoplite a few weeks back. Its lasted through 3 phones for me. i can always go back and play more.
These are ones I remember Jeff talking about.
And these are my own recommendations. (Threes I still play to this day, of the games above.)
I imagine Lara Croft Go is great too, but I haven't played it for myself. Brad liked it.
Final Fantasy IV has a pretty decent mobile port.
Jeff usually recommends clickers, which I also often play, but don't play clickers they're the creations of the devil and ooh I hate them so much but I keep playing them anyway. I can recommend some others but it depends on what you like.
Arcade: Super Hexagon, Ridiculous Fishing, Desert Golfing
Puzzle: Snakebird, Lazors, Threes!, the Go games
Roguelikelikelikes: Hoplite, Rust Bucket, Crypt of the Necrodancer (iOS only)
Adventure: 80 Days, the Sorcery series, anything by hap Inc, any Wadjet Eye point & click games, Fallen London
For larger screens: XCOM Enemy Within, Cook Serve Delicious, Baldur's Gate, Shadowrun
Lara Croft GO
I would also recommend good solo board game conversions: Agricola, San Juan, Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, Stone Age
