Jojo's Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle announced (+new anime)

Developed by CyberConnect2 (people behind Asura's Wrath and the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series) and produced by Namco Bandai, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure ASB is a PS3 exclusive and will be out in Japan this year. This is the official website.

I'm all about this, though I do have a question. If every main character will be playable, does that mean it only has 8 characters? No antagonists?

@smokeyd123: There were antagonists in the trailer, and Dio was shown right at the end.

I've read up to part 5 in the manga a few years ago so I'm somewhat familiar with a lot of the characters. Who knows, this could be cool.

Yare yare daze, I did not expect that teaser to reveal a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure game! I have only read up to part 4, so I don't know all of the folks there, but I am excited to see more of this game. It has been a long time since the last Jojo's Bizarre Adventure anime. It's even been a while since that Phantom Blood movie. I am very excited on both counts.

It just occurred to me that CC2 isn't working with Capcom on this, but that looks ALOT like MT Framework, does Capcom license that to people outside of their company and their projects?

That looks more like Asura's Wrath engine than MT Framework.

Never heard of this franchise before, but the game looks cool. I wonder if they'll bring it to NA? I have never even heard of this before, I wonder if bringing this over will be worth it for Bamco.

The achievements came so it's true. Now it's just a matter of when.

So Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: ASB is not a fighting game, it's a Jojo game. Sacrificing the competitive nature that this game could have had by making it 30 FPS instead of 60, for example, CC2 will be able to give the game the visual fidelity that they feel a Jojo Bizarre Adventure game needs to have. I don't doubt they'll achieve that given their past games, but this might be disappointing news for some.
