No Mass Effect Galaxy Map music? It was probably the most memorable song from the series for me (in no small part because you hear it so frequently, I assume).

I'll just reference the entirety of Mass Effect's soundtrack, and the Blade Runner-esque tracks of Mass Effect 2.

Also, fucking System Shock 2? Which has an amazing drum'n bass soundtrack? And goddamn Snatcher? Fucking goddamn, Snatcher has an amazing soundtrack.

He did ... the Saren theme , personally I like this one from the first game

Makes all the conversations inside the normandy feel even more Sci-fi-ish , plus it got that "mistery of space" mood that set the tone of the game.

Oh whoops, you said personal favorites? Never mind, I think there are a lot of great ones. The one I added isn't necessarily one of the my favorites out of the entire genre, but I still like it, so I'll keep it.

Uh... Quake 2's soundtrack was done by Trent Reznor. I've heard it, but only to the background of the game, and I can't say that I remember it, but maybe that?

No Trent Reznor worked on the first Quake. Sonic Mayhem (his professional name) did the music for Quake 2.

All of System Shock 2's soundtrack is great, but my favorite has always been Med/Sci 1.

I was trying to think of soundtracks like this thread recently. The Phantasy Star series and Online have great music and speaking of RPG's: Star Ocean 2 and Rogue Galaxy. Dead Space 1 and 2 had great soundtracks as well but nothing memorable, it just worked for the games like it would movies.

I have a soft spot for the music in Flashback (The Quest for Identity) too, that really set the mood, personally I preferred the Genesis's sound chip for that soundtrack. But the Amiga's version is awesome too.

Listening to this is giving me a deep urge to go back and finish this game.

The entire original Mass Effect OST. I just love the ambient, atmospheric wonder vibe that I get from that entire game from its music. It's something special.
