Let's get Dan his dream wedding! - THEY DID IT! TACO BELL WEDDING!

All the people saying Dan shouldn't win just because he has a Twitter following, I have two responses:

1. The voting stage isn't the final stage. The top 10 or something from the votes are passed on to Taco Bell themselves to decide the winner.
2. Dan is literally the perfect person for this to happen to, and you're wrong.

@bollard: I think someone pointed out that a couple of the other contestants have way more Twitter followers than Dan does anyway, so it's kind of a moot point.

I mean the corpse of a long dead dog being the ring bearer is probably one of the most symbolically fitting things for a Taco Bell Wedding Supreme Special w/Extra Love & Tomatoes.

The ring will be suspended above a wrestling ring and only accessible by ladder. Or a forklift. And the "Any reasons why this couple should not be married..." will be followed by a YES! / NO! chant of the audience's choosing.

That webpage was terrible though. Before i had an account Dan was on page 2 or 3 top row. After voting, i had to browse through the list and he was at the 7-8th page bottom row. And since the buttons are lower than my screen length, i had to minimize the page until it all fitted. At least it's for a good cause.

I usually get behind all the dumb stuff he does but this feels like perhaps a step too far. Don't treat your wedding day like some sort of joke Dan, you might regret it in the future.

However, it's not my business! If they're both happy with the idea then all power to them I guess.

@yates: just because someone has a fun or goofy ceremony doesn't mean they will treat their commitment to each other as a joke. One of my coworkers had a BBQ wedding in a park with a dunk tank. People paid to try and dunk the bride or groom. They handed out plastic mugs that were printed with "I went to Faye and Justin's wedding and all I got was the F@&%*#¡?¿ mug". It was great they are great and heading into year 7.

@yates: most people get married in court houses so this would be a step up.

@james_ex_machina: Fair comment. I guess my view on weddings is the one thing that's quite old fashioned (not that I'm old or anything). I inwardly cringe when I hear about people's quirky ceremonies.

Well, the Taco Bell thing is really just $600 worth of stuff. So, I don't think, the "...[we have been trying for years, but just couldn't afford...$600" is really a valid point. How do THOSE people fly anyone out to Vega if the stumbling block was a $600 chapel for a ceremony? As voters, we have to consider, that Dan and Bianca would have a wedding that Taco Bells Corporate executives could ONLY dream of latching onto - win/win.
