Meh. I really don't care. I just blocked that front page Facebook thing with Add Blocker Plus (even though I "Liked" GB in Facebook way before that popped up). As for the two (very small) buttons in the Wiki pages... easily ignored. Unless it's really intrusive, I don't mind the social networking thingies.

I am indifferent to facebook but I feel that these like/share buttons really detract from the overall look of the site. It just makes it look cheap like all those other news/game sites that continually force facebook and twitter down your throat...

Yeah, it amazes me how more nerdy websites like this absolutely despise facebook and twitter. Makes no sense to me. Facebook is useful for keeping up with friends you might not always have the chance to see and twitter keeps me updated about all the many things I'm interested in.

The thing is I don't need to see random people's faces when on GiantBomb. I've got nothing against Facebook, but it doesn't have any use sitting on the front page. If they make it more like the Twitter integration where you only see people you care about, that's fine, but trying to tie everything to everything through meaningless Facebook connectivity is dumb.

The funny thing is I don't really even like oranges. I just made that my default picture as a joke and I haven't changed it because I don't really like FB or use it that much.
I dont think it will expand much more then what it currently is, as a website it makes sense to have content be easily retweeted or liked to get the word about your website and such out quickly, without having to do advertising. So it makes sense people, and it is a very small addition and wont affect the day to day use of the website.

If you couldn't tell by the negative reactions in this thread, you are right.
@Kyreo: The only other thing that space has ever been used for is ads or quests, both of which can easily be placed into that spot when the time comes.

I already like GB, Tested etc on FB so the FB box is redundant. Also don't like the share icons all up ins. Hardcore Dave would add an option to remove social gubbins which make pandas sad.
