I don't know if you guys have been following these asshole's activities but this hacker group has been claiming responsibility for denial of service attacks on PSN, Xbox Live, Origin, and now Twitch and Blizzard (among others). They also diverted SOE President John Smedley's plane by claiming there were explosives on board.

What are they trying to accomplish? It seems like they are just attention hungry jerks. On their Twitter they are demanding people tweet pictures of themselves with "Lizard Squad" written on their foreheads in sharpie in order to get Twitch back online.

I sincerely hope there are legal ramifications for the people orchestrating this stuff.

This. Nothing they did this past week affected me, but I'd like to see them suffer some real consequences for it. Can't let people think this is okay.

Messing with Twitch is one thing, but now these assholes have fucked with Activision. I'd be surprised if legal action doesn't drop, hard.

It's typical wannabe "hacker" shenanigans.

They usually get caught. It's only a matter of time.

Legal action was bound to drop the moment they called in a fake bomb threat to an airline.

Is there any information on how that bomb threat went for them?

@hailinel: Very true, angsty teens with delusions of "l33tness" seem to get dumber every year.

Well Twitch is alive again, now that they got their "four foreheads" ugh...

Is there any information on how that bomb threat went for them?

All I can find is their tweet to American Airlines caused the plane (from Dallas to San Diego) to make a stop in Arizona. I mean is a prison sentence really worth scaring and inconveniencing someone?

All Sony has said regarding the matter is that the FBI is currently investigating and they aren't making any further comment.
